Ending: Blech

Everything else: Awesome or at least pretty good

Kaworu is cool in my oppinion, which is probably why he gets jewed. All the anime characters I like get jewed.

Also, put Elfen Lied at the top of your list, even though some of the voice actors just didn't seem to fit... Then again, I did watch it after Puni Puni Poemy, so that's probably why I couldn't take at least one of the voices seriously...

It's the show that defines the magical girl genre. As such, it has most of the failings of that genre. I watched it because it has had a significant impact on the concept, and I went in expecting adorable antics; I was not disappointed.

I was advised against watching this by another forum. However, I read a bit of the manga, until I realized that it was stupid. That's 2 hours I'll never get back.

Just by my asking, did you watch the Anime Hellsing that aired on TV or the OVA of Hellsing called Hellsing Unlimited?

If you watched the former, then you'll want to watch the OVA. it's everything the Anime was, with better animation, and is more closely related to the manga story. After the Luke Valentine arc, the TV Anime completely changed the story and made it less.....meaty. Trust me, the OVA is much better and you should watch it.

I liked Eva in the sense that the plot is deep, it's sensible and fucked up. Shinji is a pretty weak lead but so much goddamn emotional shit happens to everyone but Rei (and she gets physically beaten up) you can't expect them to grow the hell up.

Really, it's probably one of the best anime's I've seen, probably because it's not some sort of Sci-Fi Fantasy Mecha Busty Crazy-Ass-Comedy Magical Angsty Super Shit as 95% of anime is. It's just a really awesome crime thriller.

I guess I'll restate a couple for good measure, some that I was surprised that were mentioned, and add a new one..

Cowboy Bebop: Can't be recommended enough.

Gad Guard: Pretty awesome with a jazzy opening.

Gungrave: Badass story about loyalty, friendship, and betrayal. (I think this is the one that hasn't been mentioned yet.)

Monster: Yea, it is awesome without the 95% norms of everything else anime is. Damned addicting too.

08th MS Team: Awesome Gundam show even if you're not a Gundam fan. It's mainly about war in general and the other people in it who aren't the HOLY CRAP main pilots in the conflict.

Baccano: RAIL TRACER!!

Berserk: Last but in no way least this show is incredibly amazing.

I got to episode like 30 of Ruroni Kenshin and stopped watching because everything past like 3 was filler.
