But yeah, there is way too many screens. If nothing else, you can replace a lot of what it said with just a verbal explanation of what is going on (or just dialogue). If you plan to have everything that happens mapped out visually with a few comments, you might as well do a VLP.

EDIT to Pyros: Yes his number is excessive. That just makes your's impossibly excessive.

OOC: You think you have too many pics for an intro?

My intended FFTA lp took too long to start, because to show the opening, it will take well over 356 pictures, all about the size of a standard GBA screen.

The comparison is an inevitable fact due to that being, as I stated, the first LP I read through completely and on the same exact game, and it sure helps boost that since it was well-written, informative, and had a good bit of entertainment value throughout.

I did say it was an opinion, and that I might be biased, to let you know where I am coming from. This is your LP -- ultimately, you have to take it where you want it to go / how you feel will best entertain your audience. Aside from feeling that there may be too many pictures per update based on this first post, I cannot fairly offer an opinion of your LP style yet, so don't take it as immediate bashing. I look forward to reading more.

As to the above: Yeah, like Twiddy said, that might be better suited to a video LP...

A video for FFTA would be nothing but WALLS AND WALLS of text for a good 3 minutes, and wouldn't be suitable for any sort of roleplay, more of a playthrough.

The main problem, I think, is that all prologues are too wordy and too nuanced to explain. Prologues are longer because there is so much to show before choices and the game proper can start. The next posts for this LP and and any other will be much shorter, (especially if you don't have friggin pics of just Ray Rina lying on the ground, then slightly getting up from the ground, to standing up ) as all you need to show is points of interest then the reader hook.

Anyway, Nik~Nik, your next objectives in your next post mission are as follows:

1: Someone has tried to drug you (and three other saps) while you were sleeping, and only you survived. Therefore, your life is in danger. Find a weapon.

2:You are wearing not sexy enough underwear. Find clothes that are more suitable to your figure.

3: Find 'spikes' or whatever hip-hopping slang you kids have for the dope these days, and 'slice' that computer out of it's mind into letting you out.

4: Find T3-M4, whom I hope is Still Alive.

started playing this game again, and huge chunks early on dont really need much of our input, it would be impracticle for us to vote on every option in the dialog trees. Only slight light/dark side sliders are involved.

The real thing will be guiding feats and skills.

PS the mining laser was purposefully made to be weaker then the blaster, as the energy blasters produce is enough to ingite the gas they are mining

Never know when you have to heat something up, even if lasers could probably do that just as well, and more concentrated xP

well flames can be relatively cool. I think I read somewhere that blaster shots are hot enough to vaporize most metal, compared to that a flamethrower that doesn't surpass 1000 degrees isn't that hot.

This is of course conjecture. I'm just saying they did give an in story reason to why the mining lasers were weaker.
