I disagree! I thing it's a Genuinely Good film, at least a decade ahead of its time in terms of sci-fi movies.

Fifth Element is exactly what you would expect from a movie starring both Milla Jovovich and Bruce Willis.

Down on his luck hardened ex-soldier*/cop/whatever kicking ass with the help of a genetically superior super woman.

It was basically a fictional Surviver-in-Space scenario with characters I couldn't get emotionally invested in. I wish they would of just stopped after Atlantis finished it's run.

So what you're saying is, they changed it now it sucks? I actually quite like Universe. Let's face it, after 12 years, 3 films and about 300 episodes, SG was getting stale and predictable. There are only so many times deus ex machinas or characters who pull out some new kind of pseudo science that incorporates alien technology that they've never seen before let alone know how to use and use to save the day in the nick of time before it becomes boring.

And I say this as a guy who has every single SG boxset available, and readily re-watches the entire series almost annually. At least Universe does something new without destroying the rest of the universes lore.

You also have to mention Chris Tucker playing what is possibly the most annoying character in film history.

Lucky, I only got the series one box set.

And it is a cool change with universe, given how each of the other series was confined to their galaxy and now they're heading toward the edge of the universe which gives this whole feeling of both strange desolation and "this shit will never be the same again".

Recent episode spoiler.And I liked how in the last episode that actually tied in the whole "one guy has a hallucinating dream with everyone else in it" to actually synchronize with the actual events somewhat.
