Intuitive Magic: Depends on what spells you have. For instance, a black mage who only knows ice and water spells wouldn't be able to start a fire like in the book. One who knows lightning probably could, but would probably have to cast an actual lightning spell or set up some decent tinder first. One who knows fire could roll just like in the book with no actual cost to themselves or added set up/difficulty.
A white mage with aero could use intuitive magic to say... blow out a candle, or move curtains. Etc. For Blue Mages it really kind of depends on what spells they have. Laser eyes could probably be used to like... make your eyes glow all creepy like and maybe provide a minimal amount of light in dark places. Self-destruct... welp! Not much else you can do with that! Same goes for seed cannon. I'm guessing the telekinetic blue mage knew revenge and, with full health, the 'invisible waves of energy' were barely a breeze. On the more immediate concern: that's more the exact effect of the restore spell. And a heal check could help you figure out a way to make him feel better, but it wouldn't be like 'bamf heal check, you're not ill anymore'. It'd be more like 'Heal check... ok, if I press here and here it should alleviate your motion sickness for awhile. Just keep pressure there and close your eyes.' etc. Edit: Though this is all an RP thing that POS rolled with that has no real effects other than flavor and your healing skill is pretty good, so I'm not even going to make you roll. Just make up some motion sickness cure for moogles (preferably one that's similar to an ACTUAL treatment for people), and roll with it. EDIT 2: On moving things along: I don't care too much about the Inn. You can just do whatever you like there. Rooms are going to be about 20 gil a piece for singles and 50 for double rooms. I'd assume you'd want doubles. Haggling is an option, of course. If no one posts anything or asks me to wait I'll get the other half of you to the chocobo stables later tonight. Just got home from work, being creative is bluuuugh.

Should I let the one with any points in talking try to convince the large, muscled man to put a wagon, driver, and steeds in almost-certain harms way?
... Yeah, I probably should.

Threatening to fry him and his family extra crispy with a few well-placed Thunder spells is talking.

That bit of negotiation with the stable-master felt like a failure the whole way around. Even taking in consideration that he's even willing to consider renting to us, we won't be able to pay for 2000 gil even if we all pooled our remaining money. And that's before getting rooms.
Sounds like we're either walking or taking more drastic measures. >_> |

I'm getting the feeling that having only the squishy classes see the stable-master probably doesn't inspire confidence in the merchant in the group's survival, given their squishy reputation. If only Elsa or Ark was there, he might feel even slightly more confident in the group's survival rate.

You can't convince everyone just by telling them what you want.

I'm relatively sure we aren't getting a 200 gil wagon, unless mentioning our client or something gives a large bonus.
But I think we're waiting on Bard since he has the most CHA and Speech of the group.
