Minecraft question: Anyone know if you can get grass to grow underground? I've opened the roof completely on this chamber, so it gets sun. I got a sapling to grow there.

I believe the dirt tile needs to be connected to a grass-growing dirt tile to grow grass itself. I don't know how many vertical levels the grass can "spread" across.
So you'd need a rather long and time-consuming chain of dirt -> grass tiles to get it down to wherever you want it.

Actually, since you have that one hanging tile of grass there, a simple dirt stairway down should work.

quick question here... i was considering to put up a really tall tower. But i'm not very good at vertical building... what techniques you guys recommend? i was thinking about a simple Cobblestone Scaffold with wooden stairs for access, but would that be the best way?

Don't forget the "Sneak" button, which is left-shift by default. Keeps you from falling off of ledges. Or makes it very hard to.
