We should make a banner thing for Friday / Sunday GW2s. It's been fun getting in touch with NPF community more often!

I was going to be like "yeah I'll play" but since I'm home for the weekend I'd have to install a fuckton of updates, and I also had friends messaging me on steam asking me to play DotA 2, which was already up to date, so I played DotA 2.

I dunno how the folk with legendary weapons do it.

I've gathered roughly close to 50% of the required materials for crafting an ascended weapon and I'm dragging my feet. Pretty sure the hardest part is getting to 500 weaponsmith. Once I get all the time-gated stuff out of the way I'm probly just gonna buy all the non-account bound shit and get it over with.

A good number, at least in the first two months or so, were guild-funded. I don't know why people thought, "Sure, I'll send mats and gold to this guy instead of keeping it." Or worse yet if some guilds had a tithe system. Also some people may have just dumped real-world money into it, though I think even in the early days that was several hundred at least.

Legit collection takes a while -- some people report two months or so of just grinding the various mats and running the correct events/dungeons for their needed gifts -- even before having to deal with RNG.

If the RNG nets me a precursor, unless it's for a legendary I think I really, really want I am totally going to take the cash moneys for selling it. There are still enough named exotic skins that I like out there.

I hate how you only need 5 bloodstone bricks per weapon but there aren't really easy ways to get your weaponsmith level up without mushing together things like the bloodstone dust. I stuffed most of the obsidian shards I had into about 30 bricks, still am not at 500 weaponsmith, and still had an entire bank tab full of the dust remaining.
