EDIT: I guess the Vriska fan's retort to such a claim would be that by telling John he'd see his father again another time, Vriska prevented John from being at the scene of impending doom, and subsequently might have spared him from suffering a similar fate, assuming that Jack is in fact indestructible.

It could've been that she meant that he'd see him, but not necessarily see him alive.

Which is still a dick move, but whatever.

Alternatively: Jack rolls on up to Dad, and requests a new, less shitty, shirt. They bump fists, and Jack flies off to kill someone who didn't destroy his ridiculous hat in his new dad-shirt.

Sadly that would mean Jack changes shirts BACK to the clown suit before going into the troll session, and I don't see that happening.

But there's also the possibility that Jack doesn't kill Dad and Vriska was telling the truth. Seems more like she might've told John he never runs into his Dad again before the scratch in a nonchalant manner if John was never going to see him again. Unless some people want to see her saying that and Dad dieing as a way that Bro could be brought back, but I'm just being a dick bringing that up.
