Just heard some more interesting info. Apparently, Square is, in fact, trying to fix their past mistakes to make the game more accessible to everyone. Just got word that there will be an "RPG Mode" in the battle system which aims to let new players get used to the system in stages. The mode will handle your movement and lock-ons for you and let you focus on attacking and timing things. The camera is also somehow freed up by this, so you won't have to worry about that, either. All other functions are still left to the player, including your EX, attacking, defending, etc.

Holy crap Gilgamesh. I would not be surprised if he's aware he's in a fighting game.
So I guess there's no Chaos character at all for XI, at the moment. I wonder how exactly Prishe will play like, though. I mean, she's a Monk-type like Tifa, except she has healing/holy magic. They might emphasize that to keep her from being too similar. |

Gilgamesh and Prishe are in. We'll probably be seeing the trailer in a few days to a week, due to Square having made it a private showing again. Gilgy for sure is on the Chaos team. Also, Aeris is in. Not as a playable character, but as a bonus Assist character for people who shell out ~$3 to download the demo coming out, which is, of course, only available in Japan. Downloading said demo doesn't let you see her in action, but it will unlock her when the full version comes out. I guess it's good to be born Japanese.
