One other thing. When playing RPGs, I always, ALWAYS turn on every last bit of redundant information that I can get. Two screens flying around with the same monster's stats, and so on.

I just like it that way.

I, too, collect every item ever. I'm worried I'll miss stuff, so I'll even read a strategy guide past where I am in a game just so I know where to get good items.

I trash talk. A lot. In single-player games, if I can't beat a boss after two tries, I'll immediately start cussing him out, toss stuff around, etc. Even though I'm usually a pretty calm guy. Maybe it'll distract him.

In multiplayer, I'll do the same. If we're playing Smash Bros., I'll carry on a conversation during a fight while still maintaining focus. Most of my friends can't talk and fight at the same time. I get told to shut up a lot.

Online, I'll diss the kid playing at every turn. Once, during a MechAssault game, some kid piloting a Ragnarok (the game's most powerful mech offensively and defensively but moves like a slug) on the other team once said, "Um, how old are all you guys?" A few players said their ages. After a few minutes, he said, "Can any of you guys drive?" I respond with, "Why? You want us to pick you up from soccer practice?" This evicted a few "Ooooohhh!"s from both team. For the rest of that match, that kid only targeted me. And I killed him over and over. The one time he got me, my mech explosion took him down too. So yeah, kids=going down.

On some high-finesse games, like a Prince of Persia or Sonic game, I'll enter a sort of Zen state that no man can put me out of. If I leave it, I immediately lose all skill with that game. Just yesterday, I was playing Sonic Rush on my DS on a bus with a few friends. They tried to talk to me a few times, and even push or poke me, but I wouldn't respond, fascinated by the game instead. After about ten minutes of trying to get my attention, I wispered, "You're messing with my Sonic-Fu. Ssssshhhhh."

You know, I reread what I said about my big arcade stick and all that, and I said to myself "Gosh, that's pretty suggestive."

In RPGs, I tend to work toward maximizing my group out. In FFVI, I had a squad of guys kitted out with either Fire resistance or Fire absorb, someone with the Gem Box and the Economizer, and simply abused Merton as hard as possible.

Also, Illumina and Atma Weapon + Genji Glove + Offering = Horrible brutality.

If I am playing an Action RPG and come to a big boss. I will go straight in half health, deliberatly die (if I know he is strong) so i can study his fighting, come back and learn from my mistakes.

In fighting games. Speed characters are perfect for me. I would rather sacrifice my strenght for a guy who can jump around inflicting several minor wounds while dodging the big enemy.

It's bad luck to go up against a Boss after your third beer. Very bad luck. Dunno why.

Also, "If 'Gilmour Girls' is on TV, your strikes will fly true" is a very wise bit of advice.

I think if I don’t kiss my Xbox 360 every time I play it will decide to freeze up on me at the most important parts of my game.

The X-box 360 runs on human digestive enzymes?

Oddly brilliant!

Hehe, anyways, one thing that I do, not realyl a superstition, is that I always use the weakest weapon possible for a job, until the point where I just want to have fun.

And proceed to blow the living kasheit out of a stormtrooper with, say, a missle.

Always level up to around level seventy before taking on the final boss in any final fantasy game.

I save my game about every twenty minutes.

In RPGs, I always try to keep my party as evenly leveled as possible. If I can, I'll be really picky about it (Oh no, he died! Now he'll be behind in XP! SOFT RESET!).

This one's kinda old: Whenever I loaded up the original Zelda game, I would always swing the sword three times before doing anything else. I don't remember when I started doing it, or why; it's become an impulse whenever I play. Haven't played it in awhile though.
