Bit back as long as I could! Anyway, why am I going to make a 'bitch about things I hate' thread for TTGL which I love more than like, 99.9% of things that I love?

I used to live on his end of town when I was but a little POS. I think one year they tried to run a Big Mouth Billy Bass for mayor but it was rejected by the other three more civilized quarters of the city.

As for my sacred cows, Monty Python Fluxx tops the list. Fluxx is a fun game in and of itself, and adding Monty Python to it just makes it that much more fun. My other big sacred cow is reading. I don't understand why so many people are cool with being functionally illiterate and knocking anyone who reads for pleasure. ETA: My biggest sacred cow is Missouri. As you love your life, don't knock MO. Last edited by Lady Cygnet; 02-07-2009 at 06:30 AM. |

Still, it's nice that she didn't immediately become useless any time Simon or Kamina were fighting, and she never got murdered/injured/raped to drive the hero over the edge/to new heights (granted that DID happen to what's-her-face, but it was still played better than the trope usually is). She pretty much stayed in the foreground the entire series, and her existence was never really dependent on the male leads.

I get a bit defensive about FF8 at times. I mean, sure the story was kinda blotched together and wasn't fully comprehensible, but most final fantasy games aren't supposed to anymore. Plus, it had gunblades...GUNBLADES. I rest my case.
I also second Dr. Mcninja. i don't know too many people personally who know about it, but if someone was bad mouthing it I would probably have to hold back some Brooklyn rage. I LOVE the Blues Brothers movie. The sequel sucked, but the original was awesome. I mean it made an entire movie off being a semi-musical, and was funny without being overly gross or over the top...ok maybe just a tad bit over the top. Anyone else a fan of it?

Hm. Something I get all bitchy about. There's not a whole lot except
STAR WARS. Fuck your fanfic. Don't screw with my canon and don't edit the wiki with your AnakinxObiwan bullshit Slashfics. Stay away from my Boba Fett, he survived the Sarlacc and went on to train Jaina to be the Sword of the Jedi and you just have to deal with the fact that Boba and Leia did not have freaky sex. Stop making up weird shit that I have to edit out of the wiki, stop spreading it around the internet, go curl up with the books and read them instead of pumping out the worst possible material to ever come across my eyes since power rangers retcon'd themselves. |
