Yes, and by the glorious virtue of Bleach, I suppose the power is mitigated when you know the rules of the game, but you can not honestly tell me that Old Man would simultaneously be victorious at every Japanese Children's game ever to be able to hit him. It's like right now in the thing, you can only do scathing damage on layered clothing by calling out the colors of what you're hitting or some ridiculous nonsense.

Which means, if Shunsui doesn't flat out tell you the rules of whatever his broken ass zanpaktou is doing, then you're not going to hurt him and he's going to hurt you.

Anyhow, I'm just waiting for the Brotastical Buddies to both go bankai and both combine into some kind of ridiculously-powerful-super-connected-combo-but-totally-straight-they're-just-really-good-friends-like-really-good-friends.

thats just it though, he tells you the rules. He told a flat out enemy, I doubt he'd keep it from his mentor.

And old guy probably is a master of all children games since he was alive when that was litterally the end all be all of entertainment

I think he also has to call out the name of the children's game that he is playing as well. He might be able to stack them and I'm not entirely sure but those Japanese word's he kept shouting seemed to signify a change or addition to the rules. They where either the names of the games or a command to his zanpakuto to change the rules. Either way if you already know his powers you can anticipate the changes by what he yells to his zanpakuto.

edit: The more I analyze this the more I realize this was a masterwork of balance and awesomeness. It is simultaneously one of the most retardedly powerful abilities while at the same time has exactly the right amount of balance to keep it reasonable and not destroy the story.

nearest i can tell he can just make fire. It isn't a directional attack. Remember those faccion he took out? They basically just spontaniously combusted. He didn't even move. So redirecting it is out when it comes from every direction at once

He can direct it too it's just that "direct" equals "massive undodgeable superinferno" which I don't think he'd even use unless he had a really gigantic target or like with Aizen McBrokenpants where you don't even actually know where the hell he is or you are or reality is so your only bet is to just toss up the biggest goddamn net you can manage and hope for the best.

But really I think we're proving too much here given that the whole thing of that fight was that the Captaino Brothers got out of it with only superficial damage which more or less makes sense given their stupidly powerful powers.

they looked like direct attack types. Normally the shikai that looks like normal weapons are just that.

And that suprise at the end I dont know, I kinda saw it coming. but now I wonder if Aizen really intends to just pick up and leave. which would be smart I mean he's lost. The vaizards radically tipped things out of his favor and unless he can one-on-one stomp on the head captain he no longer has much of a shot

thats all using Bleach logic of course. You know there has to be SOMEONE with aizen's bane
