Ralts laughed in triumph as the moogle was suddenly caught off guard by his quickened spell. "Oh I do take it personally bud," Ralts responded with a sarcastic tinge to the last word. "The way I see it, you are in my way of success, and I take that kind of thing personally." He continued with added emphasis on the last word.

"You have no one to blame but yourself for being so casual about your allies,so sorry, but I'm going to have to kill you now." Ralts added in a taunting voice as he lifted a hand towards the Prasad.

"Crimson Seal," Ralts again activated, in a more collected voice. "Blizzard," he continued, staring at Prasad with a hint of amusement.

"Don't take this so personally bud." The Red mage threw in as he cast another spell at the gambler.

If Wedge were not in the middle of trying to throw a similar glare at Jade, he might've been slightly unnerved by the look that Jal gave him. Of course, that said, it wasn't as if he could completely ignore Jal. You see, while words would never hurt Wedge, sticks and stones certainly could. It worked better still if instead of sticks and stones one used a pair of rather daggers. Though they were not as sharp as his glare, his blade still cut through Wedge's flesh like butter.

Jal deals 15 damage to Wedge.

Of course, Jal wasn't the only one to hold a grudge against Wedge. After all, Bello too had been reeled in once before - and it certainly wasn't a pleasant experience. Dashing in, dagger ready, he made the Galka regret not killing Bello.

Bello deals 7 damage to Wedge.

That wasn't all though. Jade wasn't exactly happy with Wedge either. With the massive sword she carried, she joined the other two who were already attacking Wedge, somehow managing not to hit anybody but her target. Though Wedge stepped back to avoid taking the brunt of the attack, his chest sported a gash across it.

Jade deals 16 damage to Wedge.

The spellcasters, on the other hand, were dealing with their own targets. Vit, having already rendered Biggs helpless, decided to try to finish the job. Wielding his staff in both hands, he raised weapon over Biggs head before bringing it down, knocking the galka off balance, and onto the floor.

Vit deals 3 damage to Biggs.

Ralts, on the other hand, decided to repeat his performance. Activing the crimson seal, a glyph appeared behind the red mage for a moment - and from it, a shard of ice smacked the moogle around for the second time.

Bard, Blizzard deals Int x 2 + 1d6 damage. Ralts deals 13 damage to Prasad.

Wedge was getting frustrated. Perhaps it was because he had already lost one man on this mission. Perhaps it was because Biggs was already incapacitated. Perhaps its because he'd already been run over by a motorcycle, and then run through by some daggers and an oversized meat cleaver. Really, he wasn't getting paid enough to deal with this.

That was when Prasad decided to do chime in with what was probably in his head a brilliant plan.

"I hope you know what you're doing for both our sakes, Moogle!"

Grabbing the moogle in one hand, Wedge resisted the urge to just throw him at one of the people currently trying to stab him. Instead, he threw the moogle over their heads - flying towards what he assumed was Prasad's target.

Though initially thrown with a spin, Prasad uses his wings to stabilize himself. Stopping in midair, Prasad then threw the cards he had taken out - tossing them at Ralts - probably with a witty line and all. Before Ralts had a chance to retaliate with his sword, though, a harpoon flew at Prasad, who grabbed onto the hook. Then, Wedge pulled Prasad back, letting Prasad return to his original position.

Prasad deals 8 damage to Ralts.
Showstopper activates.

Still, there was just one thing Wedge had to ask.

"Just what the hell was that supposed to do?!"

Enemy party each regains 5 HP at the end of the round.

"Ahh, how is that even possible!" Ralts grunted through the pain after the cards had hit him, leaving some cuts and bruised were they collided. Cards don't hurt people, or at least they shouldn't!

"Your going to pay for that you little rat!" Ralts shouted, still very peeved at the pain from Prasad and Wedge's attack.

The infuriated mage, then proceeded to move towards the moogle, deciding to save his spells, and took out a potion to heal himself.

As Wedge hurled him into the air, a curious thing happened: The music in the air, being played by the tarut in the middle of the room, suddenly went quiet, despite the entertainer himself still playing and singing along as usual. In fact, time itself seemed to go into slow motion during this silence, Prasad fanning the cards out in his hand before slinging them at the Red Mage, then grabbing ahold of his lifeline and whipping back to relative safety.

"Just what the hell was that supposed to do?!"

Time resumed as normal again, the moogle hitting the floor and sliding backward a bit before hopping to his feet, guns drawn in a dramatic pose. Music returned once more, but the tune performed by the tarut--in fact, anything he performed--was replaced by something wholly other.

"You're going to pay for that, you little rat!"

Prasad whipped his pom-pom back behind him as he slowly took aim with his guns at the approaching mage, the astounding feat he'd just performed having invigorated his very soul, and grinned in satisfaction as he squeezed the triggers.

"Bang."

Jal followed his slashes through the galkan's flesh, spinning out of the way of Jade's blade as it flashed down across their opponent's chest.

As the massive sword struck through galkan flesh, Jal continued to spin, moving back in toward the galkan as well as coming about to face him. As the moogle was thrown, and the harpoon gun followed, Jal finished his pirouette in a crouch directly in front of Wedge his body coiled like a spring. In an instant the agile thief burst upward, both of his daggers slashing toward the galkan's chest and face as Jal followed through his movement, continuing it into a backfilp away from his opponent.

Jade was just going to stay in there and slug Wedge with her sword until he fell down. She held her weapon out nearly vertically in front of her, tip waving side to side hypnotically as if to mesmerise Wedge. Abruptly she stepped in and swung the blade in an abbreviated chopping motion, pressing forward as she did.

OOC: And once again, attack at ACC 8 for 10+2d6 damage.

It had always felt like a personal failing to Bello that he could only weave magic through traditional Tarut music. After all, a true artist is supposed to move beyond the forms and make their own art. The tinkling, melodic tunes that he played just never seemed appropriate for anything but sitting around the campfire or busking or entertaining the ladies' bridge club.

But Prasad's actions carried a strange inspiration. As his fingers moved on their own, Bello knew that this was the gate to what he had been looking for. These lyrics, these riffs: this song in the harsh Common tongue was music he could stab people up to.

His dagger was held with the point facing down so that his fingers could strum out this new movement of Valor Minuet. Still in melee with Wedge, Bello added a dagger strike to the choreography.

Vit saw the cards slice at Ralts, and turned his attention that way. Focusing his mind on the red mage, he envisioned the cuts closing up, and his vigor being restored. He saw Ralts take out a potion, but the moogle was right there; even if he did drink the potion, he'd be shot and in need of healing.

Though Ralts had gotten in the first two blows, he knew that his injuries needed tending to. Quickly retrieving a potion, he drinks up - and just in time. After taking a drink, Prasad's bullet found itself inside of Ralts. Before anybody could make any sexual jokes about this, though, Vit worked his healing magic on Ralts.

Ralts uses a potion, regains 8 HP.
Prasad deals 9 damage to Ralts.
Vit heals Ralts for 9 HP at the beginning of round 3.

Meanwhile, Wedge was still having to deal with the "Slicey Slicey" members of the team. Though he weathers the blows from Jal and Jade, Bello uses this opportunity to slip in during a gap in Wedge's defense, cutting deeply into the Galka's flesh with his dagger.

Jal deals 15 damage to Wedge.
Jade deals 12 damage to Wedge.
Bello deals 8 damage to Wedge.

Wedge staggers for a moment, knowing that he'd be overwhelmed if he doesn't come up with a plan soon. While it would be a shame to lose the treasure, it wasn't worth dying for - and he would be damned if he'd let another person under his command die.

"Damn it all!" he says, bringing his harpoon gun over his head. However, though he points it in the direction of the people who had been cutting him open earlier, the harpoon flies harmlessly past them - instead, embedding itself inside of the other room. Then the rope started to be reeled in - but this time it was Wedge who was getting pulled along. Zipping past the party, he grabbed the still motionless Biggs along the way, safely escaping their weapons for the moment.

Pulling the harpoon free, he peers into the room with the pit of water, showing a look of disgust as he sees his former subordinate used to weigh down the rope. However, there's no time to make it completely across before the party catches up with him - not if he has to carry Biggs the entire way.

Setting down his partner, Wedge faces the group once more. It looked like he expected the party to chase after him - but there's a determined look on his face, one that doesn't seem to have a hint of desperation on it.

"Aw, come on!" Prasad groaned, watching the wounds he'd inflicted on the red mage vanish as quickly as they'd appeared. Luckily, his kickass spree of asskicking had only just begun, and with the soundtrack playing to his favor, there was surely no way he could win the da--And off go Biggs and Wedge, fleeing the scene and leaving him all alone.

"Oh, come on!"

Letting out a disappointed sigh at his misfortune, the moogle shrugged and holstered his guns, right hand lingering inside his coat for just a split second longer, then smiled awkwardly as he raised his hands in the air and backed away from the group, putting the treasure chest between himself and the party.

"Well, now that they're gone, would you believe that I was really rooting for you guys the whole time?"
