In my defense, it's not my fault pseudo-legendaries are the toughest motherfuckers out there and they fit Pierce's style.

Well, technically, Pseudo-Legendaries just require
A: 600 base stat points B: Two types C: Two evolution stages Although I would personally say anything 600+ base points is powerful enough to be considered a pseudo-legendary given how only those pokemons can have stats that high without being either a full legendary (such as Shaymin whose stats are equal to 600 but no evolution or double type) or having huge drawbacks (Regigigas and Slaking). That saying, not all of them LOOK tough (Shaymin as example) but yeah, I can see the appeal. :3 Anyhow, did the names we suggest help out? Last edited by Menarker; 03-21-2010 at 12:33 PM. |

Yeah, they helped. I'm not sure I like Nagarai. Maybe Naga-something.
I'm assuming Chizuru's taunt doesn't do as much damage as her normal attacks because if she could make anything waste an attack and then hit it back with full power why ever attack normally? As for Ruin-types, if Chizuru and pals have been fighting them for a while, then maybe they came from the netherworld. Of course, if they came from the netherworld, and there are no pokemon in the netherworld, then they're not really pokemon. So we probably couldn't catch or snag them. After STAB and super-effective damage, Metagross gets 20% more from Metal Coat.

Actually, AB said that they could be snagged and he did allow us to capture Gendom (after a bit of nudging) even though we killed it right after.
I think they got some vested interest in the pokemon world for some reason (a threat to their lives from our world or just a sense of responsibility if something from their world is influencing ours.) and that they just have been more in direct contact with the actual big bad of this RP more than our group and thus know about Ruin pokemon just because they had been fighting them before our group ever did. |

I know AB said we could snag 'em, I'm just sayin'.
And I don't think they'd take responsibility for something from their world coming to ours unless they caused it. And if Ruin pokemon were in our world before the bank incident, wouldn't we have known about it? I mean, they're not exactly criminal masterminds. Not very subtle. Hmm, Nagalyn, Nagastrele, Nagastrell? Fuck, I might just go with Nagarai.

Nagarai does sound pretty bitchin'.
Here's some tactical intel on Chizuru: Her Signature Technique (or at least one of them), Solidarity Guard, causes all enemy Pokémon of a type (that type can be one of a dual-type) to attack her, miss in trying to do so, and get counterattacked. Basically, they forfeit their turns with stupid shit and get punished for it. Unfortunately, she can't use it every turn. It's like an accessory, she can only use it once per battle or maybe more if the battle is really dragging out, so you'll most likely want her to use it when A, the enemy is going to do a Syncstrike that turn or B, you have a number of badly wounded allies who need a one-turn breather to regroup. Think hard before you tell her to use that technique. Last edited by Astral Harmony; 03-21-2010 at 12:52 AM. |

See, how are we supposed to know that in-character?
EDIT: Oh yeah, and I'm assuming that Metagross was cured of Sleep after the last fight ended.

Once a battle?
... It'd have been real helpful to know that beforehand... ... Ah, well. Assume that Impact isn't asking Chiruzu to use her Taunt attack anymore, but he still wants to focus fire on Pulverot. And wait, when did we Snag the Gendom? If I remember correctly, Spitz super-fanged, Skarmory Shadow-Winged and Impact finished it off? |

We never snagged the Gendom. We were allowed to do so, but we killed it off. =P
