GMT -6 here; also I was reading the 1.13 patch notes...
Immolation Arrow got a bump so if we have no fire I guess I could try the fire tree. Respec is nice so I can always change if it sucks. |

-8 for time zone.
As for the spirits, only the Health one would benefit me. As a caster and non-melee type, Heart of Wolverine and Thorn Spirits are useless to me. With the were-bear druid, I can see him using Heart of Wolverine to push his damage and attack rating higher. Weekdays at the moment are free in the early afternoon (Work later afternoon up to late evenings) Weekends tend to work starting mornings until mid afternoon. Also, would it be a problem if we allowed everyone to start early and work their way up to around 6th level by themselves? Not a difficult task and saves a bit of time doing somewhat boring missions. :3 But I think we're trying to avoid getting one or two players overpowered to the point that they don't fit with the party. (Since exp gain by everyone is reduced the bigger the difference between levels is apparently.) Also the Immobilization Arrow sounds good because cold is mainly used for chilling and otherwise as another source of elemental damage. At later levels, my druid casts Hurricane which is basically a large constant AOE chilling spell with a fairly constant stream of damage. Fire is otherwise pretty balanced/powerful. Let me expound on the experience formula.
With 8 players, each monster gives around 450% of its basic experience. When it's killed by someone in a party another 35% is added (and another 50% if he or she has an exp shrine effect), and then the sum is divided between all party members within two screens of the kill. It's then subject to various penalties based on the total levels of the party divided by the number of players, the difference in level between you and the monster, and additional penalties if you're above level 75. If memory serves. The main part to be concerned about is that a vast level difference in a party makes the lesser characters get vastly less experience. It's a problem if you want to leech your way to the endgame by partying with some big boys, but not if someone pulls ahead by a level or two in an ongoing party. (Also it's pretty funny, the least exp you can ever get for a kill is 5% and once you're past lvl 90 the most you can get is 6 or 7%.)

Err, I'll see you in eight. I hope we'll have a chat channel or a theme for game names or something on US West by then?

Yeah, I'll focus on Heart of Wolverine. My account name is: thewanderinggod My character name will be: Bjarki (A warrior that was said to be able to transform into a bear.) Anyway, I'll be on for a while so if anyone wants to join up, I'm game. |

Well, I found a somewhat powerful wand for a necro while playing on the mule character. It says it's "Crude Wand" but it has some +1 skills which is always nice to start with.
Creating a game: Name: NuklearPower1 Password: BlackMage if you're having problems, whisper me. /whisper Sharl BTW, it's USA West Server. Last edited by Menarker; 03-23-2010 at 06:06 PM. |

So is this server US West then or what?
Okay, good times were had. So me, Vauron, Menarker (Sharl) almost made it to the cube and level 18 before a server freeze screwed us over. But we will be more than willing to help those who want to get through the first act. Edit: Thanks for the reminder. Last edited by The Wandering God; 03-23-2010 at 10:08 PM. |
