Thank you Brian! It's been a great ride. I can't even remember how I found your comic or who linked me to it, it's been that long. And so much has happened since then... I never expected I'd end up following this thing all the way through the whole FF story. I've been so impressed to see that little sprite comic I used to check in college become a genuinely successful website, and your work winning awards. Congrats on finally wrapping it all up!

Oh, there's one other thing I should thank you for. In an indirect way, 8-bit is partly responsible for my marriage. (yes, that is a good thing. At least it seems that way so far, going on five years) Cause when I first met my husband, I thought he was kind of weird and didn't get to know him too well until we found out we both like 8-bit and had something fun to talk about together. ...I mean, we found other stuff to talk about too, we're not total nerds or anything, (okay we are) but I distinctly remember having a big chat about the nature of chaos and the ethics of Black Mage, and that being the first serious conversation we'd ever had with each other.

This was the first kick-ass comic site (aside from onemanga) that a friend referd me to and made me dol (die of laughter) every single episode. All I will say is thank you Brian for your dedication. I am not sad that the 8Bit series is over but glad it got a great ending and that it did end "No king rules forever" -King Terenas Menethil ll. (Yes I am a WoW addict so shut it;besides, best analogy i could think of). You have a wonderous talent and future ahead of you. May God Bless you for the rest of your days.

P.S. Always be a "helper", "steal" when no one is looking, continue to defy reality with your own twisted and fantasy "logic", and when people tick you off "stab" them. Hope this brings some laughter :P

I'll tell you this, sitting around the computer with friends and reading 8BT out loud with silly voices for several hours on end, is easily among the fifty greatest times I've ever had. We'd be laughing ourselves hoarse, literally rolling on the floor.

And then there's these here boards, the single nicest I've seen in all my travels on the seven Internets. Where would we be without you?

I don't really know what to say ....
Even though I joined the forum only a couple of years ago ... I've been reading your comic since 2001.
Your comic helped me through countless crappy days, it never failed to put a smile on my face.
I remember back in 2003... Instead of using the school computers to work on my assingments .. I spent all the time reading your awesome comic. I also remember quoting fighter ALL THE TIME ! (back then he was my favorite character .... nowadays you can easily tell wich one it is).
Whenever someone asked something I didn't know, my answer was "I like swords"

I really don't know what to say ... it makes me truly sad to see that the comic has ended, but at the same time I am thankful that you actually finished it.

Brian ........... you are awesome!

I once tried hanging out at this board but things were a little too uptight, the account is old and ravaged. But I've been checking every update since Prontera and for years and years you were my top bookmark. Even during that really boring part. You know the one.

You had me hooked when someone on my forum made a big deal out of "Your GP or your HP", and I didn't think it was half as lame as its victim apparently did.

Such a long running webcomic is a rarity, hell webcomics that just dont get forgotten about are rare. So what to do when 8 bit is finished? Read it again! Or maybe try Atomic Robo.
