Recommend me a japanese animation and/or sandwich - Page 6

Busou Renkin is an older one that probably isn't thought of much anymore and possibly slipped under the radar. But it has all those things you're looking for.

The Munto series (awesome magicks and explosions), while short, is a bit long winded. I'd recommend watching the original 2 OAVs that are a little more cut and dry. Sadly, all I was able to find were links to dubbed versions with a decent amount of searching. Fairly certain you can find the subbed 9 episode series, though.

I've heard good things about Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo. That will have swords cause of the time period. Couldn't say on the quantity of fights.

I've seen about a quarter of Gankutsuou and enjoyed what I saw. Haven't been able to track down the rest though!

Damn you video stores and missing one DVD of the set!

I saw all but the final few episodes of Gankutsuou. If you can stomach the art style (everything's drawn well, it just happens to use more "Unmoving Plaid" than even Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei), then it's a nice anime about revenge and politics, with a few duels thrown in, one of which uses mechs.

On the recommendations of this thread I checked out Desert Punk and HOLY BALLS it's good. It's also VERY easy to find since it's on youtube and all.

Umm, Funimation site has free, high quality, 100% legal streaming video of like the entire first season

The youtube link is legal as well since it's on Funimation's own channel. I personnally find youtube less annoying than Funi's site, but you're right the quality is better.

Best I could recommend is Death Note, even though there is next to no fighting and slightly less use of guns, but it's a really good anime.

I don't know if you follow Claymore but the anime of it is really good up to the last few episodes. You're better off reading the manga if you care about longer-lasting storylines and the actual original story.
