Magus, I just want to point out that you got one factoid in reverse: Laird bought Eastman's ownership of the property back in '08. He then sold the rights to nickelodeon and viacom. So neither of them really have a say on what Bay can or cannot do with the property.

EDIT: More on topic = I wonder if the turtles be dudes in suits or CG. I would guess CG, or maybe some kind of combination. Maybe the entire movie should just be CG.

Dudes in CGI suits.

Obviously the military will find the alien turtles or the alien enemies and contain them. If turtles then the military is the enemy at first but unite to fight alien enemies. If enemies then the turtles show up and save the day but the military also saves the day.

I have a hard time believing there wasn't a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles vs. Battletoads video game at some point in time. If not it is a totally failure of media franchising.
