Yeah, so during my "study break" trip to Walmart with my buddy, we started looking around at all the obvious christmas stuff, but saw absolutely nothing related to hanukkah. This did two things. It confirmed our suspicions that Walmart is the great blue devil, who also happens to be an anti-semite, and it made us really want a menorah. So, being resourceful, I snagged a bag of tea candles and some bailing wire and went on to construct a home-made menorah of my very own. Technically it's not made out of beaten solid gold, as divine instructions dictate, nor did it originally have the required 9 candles (solved by adding one more candle to the frame and sticking the base into a very large candle which then doubled as the stand) because I was unaware that the standard menorah is different from the hanukkah menorah (properly called a hanukiah). After boning up on my Maccabees, we lit up the puppy, and decided to take some pictures.

Note: I'm actually Catholic, but I just thought it'd be cool to rock things old skool, because it's a pretty neat tradition, and us Catlickers are all about tradition. I do apologize if this is offensive to any Hebrew forumgoers, it is intended to be celebratory/amusing in nature, not degrading.
