Please tell me I'm not the only person who saw them bonding in ME2, grasp of humour aside? And she doesn't seem to have physical sexual needs, that's actually a topic that she brings up.

I mean, a rigid dichotomy between "let's fall in love again" and "I couldn't care less about you personally; you're just an asset for me to exploit against the Reapers" seems a bad dichotomy to have.

You do the top right dialogue option and then the bottom right and pretty sure that's turning her down nicely. At least, that's what I did and she was neither disappointed nor crawling all over me.

Actually, I'm kind of surprised Legion ISN'T a squadmate given all that setup in ME2. There'd even be a perfect excuse to bring him back to the cast even if he 'died' in the suicide mission, making him an easier character to code than Tali or Garrus or the Virmire Survivor.

Agreed, I wish Legion made a return. Well I mean, I suppose he might? I dunno! I'd be okay with both existing in the same universe though. It doesn't have to be one or the other.

Of course they were bonding. I don't know what this has to do with anything I said. There's a pretty big gulf between being able to form an emotional bond and romance/sex. And there's going to be an even bigger gulf between how a human handles it and how a consciousness that has been developed in a way that is entirely alien to the human experience does.

And she doesn't seem to have physical sexual needs, that's actually a topic that she brings up.

While asking Shepard about sex/Joker. She says she lacks material attachments etc in response to a comment about music being used to set a mood. She then goes right into asking Shepard how she can get Joker to take the next step and considers using aphrodisiac drugs.

Why anyone anywhere ever felt the need to give EDI a body, and a sexy robot chick body at that, is beyond me. What does it add to anything? EDI was a chained AI in ME2 that was an asset to the ship and the team, then during the game she starts to develop some kind of personality by spending all of her time with organics. Near the end Joker "unchains" her, which brings up a lot of possibilities for what to do with EDI in the future. I would have expected EDI to continue being the ships resident AI, maybe have some emotional conflict or something, continue developing a personality and help save the day.

I mean how the shit do we get from that to Sexy Robot Body™? Answer: Bad writing and fucking fanservice.

EDI inhabiting a body at all seems fine to me. Hell, if they had given her an army that would have been even better. Nothing bad in that concept at all. You said it yourself, she's an unshackled AI. She could be the seed of Geth 2 for all we know.

The sexy robot body is....ennnnh yeah it's fucking stupid. But it also took me about 10 seconds to get over it, because she's still a fine character.

Just finished Tuchanka main mission. All I have to say is, wow. That was amazing.

Okay, admittedly, this thread sparked some concerns even in my optimism when I learned about a thresher maw fighting a Reaper. But, in context, watching it actually unfold, it was pretty god damn awesome.

Moridin's sacrifice was memorable, and awesome, and I'm glad he didn't "just escape" somehow.

I'm even warming up to the ghost dream forest, but only just a little bit. The second visit was cooler, anyway, or maybe I'm just riding a high of how cool Tuchanka was.

Oh excellent, EDI has an alternate costume that's like a jumpsuit type deal. I feel better now.

Also, Thane's death, while different from Moridin's, was handled with excellence.

Whoever writes all of Garrus' dialogue deserves a fucking commendation.

I'd like to believe there's like, one really great writer on Bioware's team, and he/she happens to be the one assigned to write Garrus, and this is his/her passive-aggressive way of attempting to teach all the others how to write.
