I wouldn't have even seen those episodes if the first season box set I saw at FYE wasn't tempting. My inspiration is also Walter from Hellsing and Kurenai from the Red Ninja video game.

I knew I saw something of Walter in there. He kicks so much ass...
Anyway, just saying that I'm still in and I have a character thought out. Only problem is I'm not at home, so I can't really put my thoughts on paper yet. My character should come later tonight, possibly tomorrow morning if I'm really out of it. |

Well, the whole mortal-become-half-demon via a pact with demons reminds me of a distinctly Naraku twist to AB's character, Dante's estimation is closer.
*Thinks of very interesting team-attacks* Oh, importantly, are those wires of yours visible? This is very handy information for both sides...

The wires remind me of one of the bad guys from Spriggan...I forget his name, though...I only saw it once.
Name: Akimoto Takumi Side: Good Race: Half-demon. Age: 23 Appearance: Akimoto is a tall man, with short, black hair, and brown eyes. He wears either tan color peasents clothes, or a deep green armor in the samuria style. Weapons: A special, enchanted yari (spear). The spear tip is made of obsidian, but will never break or dull and the shaft is made out of a special wood with will not break or burn. He also carries a traditional wakizashi for more close in battles...but that blade has no special abilites. Special Skill: Earthen Pike. Akimoto can cause pike like formations to brust out of the Earth. He can either create one big one or several small ones. These "pikes" are made out of solid stone, but are sharp as razors. Creating one big one is often used as a combat techinque, while the several small ones is more of a defenisve measure. Earth Wall: Basically the same as the other skill, but creates a wall of rock as compared to sharped shafts of rock. History: Akimoto's never knew his father, only that he had died before he was born. His mother never told him more than they had met in the mountains. Akimoto was raised in an average village. He picked up his training from old soliders and the like as he grew up. The village he grew up in told legends of a great spear in the moutains, and when Akimoto was old enough, like many in his village, he went and sought the spear. It was there he encounted his "dead" father...a mountain kami who had fallen in love with his mother. In atonement for abandoning his lover and her child, the kami lead Akimoto the obsidion spear. The spear woke Akimoto's power to control the earth in limited ways. Returning from the mountain with the spear, Akimoto became distrusted by the villagers. After all, how did he find the spear where so many others had failed? What price did he pay when he claimed it? Some of the villagers even tried to steal the spear. Akimoto repelled all these attempts. The final straw came when a pack minor monsters attacked the village. With no other choice, Akimoto unleashed his earth pike ability to save the village. As the shaft of slowly receeded into the ground, the corpses of their vicitms dropping, the villagers exiled Akimoto as a demon. Akimoto took this in stride, and shook the dust of the village off his boots when he left. During his travels, he came across the swordsman Kurama. Akimoto was interested by the man, his quest, and his decidedly more than human entourage. Akimoto felt quite at home with this group, given his abilites made him fit in, not stand out.

Holy...shit.
I'm at work for the day, and I come back to a VERY long list of posts to read. I hope I get to everything, so here it is. -There seems to be some misconceptions about the strength of Kurama. Yes, he may have more than one special skill. But they belong to the sword. Unlike the others, Kurama cannot use his abilities unless he has his weapon. And even then, there's restrictions. The Leaping Attack can only be used when there's something to use to jump with, like a tree. As for the super energy slash thing, if he uses that even once, you're basically going to carry his ass home. So he's not an uber warrior. And I'm just going to take a guess, but I have a feeling that much later in the RP, there's going to be a chapter where the evil guys steal the Raigaki. -I trust Dante to do a good job by playing two characters. Although, Dante, if you don't want to, you don't have to. -Krylo, just a quick restriction on your power. Any enchanted weapons, which we seem to have quite a few of, won't be disintegrated at all. However, it's not like they're an ultimate defense. It's like wearing a bullet proof vest, and then getting shot on it. You won't get hurt, but you're sure as hell gonna feel it. But if it's a normal weapon, then it's gonna get smoked, since they can just pick up a new one somewhere else. -I don't mind the evil guys grouping up at times, but you won't always be together. Some evil guys will be fighting the good guys, while some of the others will be off preparing for a plot. You won't always be together. -Like IHMN so nicely pointed out, this is a Raiden GMed RP. However, this won't be exactly like Knights of the Realm, where I was editing most of that for a story anyway. Here, I don't mind if you do simple stuff, but if a monster appears out of nowhere for a reason that I don't like, that monster is going to bite your head off. -Everyone seems good. But we do have quite a lot of people, and a lot more evil characters than I saw in the last two. Now, since there are so many people, I'm now instituting the "Tiny Dog" operation. If you make it obvious that it's not worth having you around, you won't be.

I'm not saying they can't. But some bad guys seem to be the type that will work alone, and probably won't stay in a group unless Talkatz comes up and tells them personally to do it.

The way I see it, is that the bad guys should fight against the good guys one at a time, and as they are beaten down, later join up into small divided groups, then after another beating, all join together. And then near the end, become horribly fused together into a giant ugly monster made up of their bodyparts.

Well that took a while...
Name: Suzume Tsurihime Side: Good Race: Human Age: 24 Appearance: About 5’9” with shoulder-length black hair tied into a pony tail and brown eyes. He wears brown pants and a light blue shirt, with a pair of sandals, and has no armor. He keeps three katanas on his back, two with their hilts over his right shoulder, and one with its hilt over his left shoulder. Weapons: Three katanas blessed in a temple so they can hurt a demon more (does nothing to other humans). He only fights with two, but has the third as a spare. Special Skill: Absorbing demon souls and then blasting them out in a violent burst of demonic energy. He can absorb as many as he wants, and the more he absorbs, the more powerful his energy blast can be. Suzume can also manipulate the demon souls he absorbs into a shield that also depends on the number of souls he's absorbed. History: Suzume discovered his power at an early age rather unwillingly when his family was attacked by a demon. His father fended it off, but Suzume felt the aftereffects when he absorbed its soul. His parents kept it a secret, but something happened that no one wanted. Suzume, who had no control over the other aspect of his powers, nearly killed one of his friends. Branded a freak, he was outcast from the town at the age of 11. He was lucky that he could at least find a master that could teach him how to use a sword while not caring that his student could absorb demon souls. Leaving his master at the age of 18, Suzume was confident that he could survive and hone his technique on his own. Ever since, he has hunted demons, collecting more souls and honing his abilities with his sword and his powers. He is now able to control the amount of souls he releases, and is able to at least hold them inside himself until he wants to release them. Extra: Suzume’s power is kinda dependant on the number of demon souls he releases, so just one is pretty much useless. Basically, the more he releases at once, the more powerful that attack or shield will be. Also, he needs to be around the demon when it dies to absorb its soul, so he can’t just be walking around and absorb some demon souls that happened to be wandering around the area. Another thing, Suzume sees his power as more of a curse, so he really just wants to kill every demon so he can be rid of the souls dwelling inside him forever. This also includes anyone who would help or supprt the demons, be they human or not. I'll let Raiden decide how many souls I start out with, just so I don't get any whining from anyone else about starting with too many. Last edited by lazy man; 07-16-2005 at 11:38 AM. |

Well, Team Evil White-Haired Chicks could be subordinates of Yaburu. and constantly tempt him with the promise of multiplayer bisexual action...
EDIT: Walter and Kurenai? Damn, but if those two aren't some of the coolest anime / video game characters I've ever seen. Last edited by Dante; 07-15-2005 at 07:08 PM. |
