The portals, generated from Gaia Online, are a go-between for Gaia and the rest of the known universe. They are of limited use in the sense that access to them is restricted to the highest levels of authorization within POS Industries (the current owner of Gaia in this particular continuity due to the events of the last Avvy RP). This is less because the portals are off limits as much as Gaia itself is.

My most recent post took place because I felt that an undertaking of this matter required more hands than one little android has, and furthermore it appeared that something fun might be happening within the manor that would better suit her attention. The troops that have emerged from the portal are your standered jackbooted thugs, and they'll most likely leave the rest of you alone.

I have more to say on other, more tangentally related issues, but I'll say it elsewhere.

Having voiced some snarkiness yesterday, I would like to now say I'm feeling revitalised. Everything is super fantastic!

Now POS, forgive me as I hang off on handling that little invasion force for a little while, as I've had an idea, but I will have to wait for this little thing with Pyros and Newb to be resolved to be able to have the Capitalist being a good position for cinema-ness. I will tell you that it is something of an anticlimax and eerily reminescent of FFTA. Law ninja are so unoriginal in this day and age after all.

Pyros and Newb have both been shot now. Newb, that shot means some battery damage. Pyros, a knee shot means... well, I'm sure we've all seen Terminator 2. You will live. Its the whole 'No sudden moves' thing at work there. It helps that Syttulg was hanging off Pyros - makes it pretty easy to cover them both. Hopefully no more shooting will occur.

As for the jungle group... well, I'll be having some fun there.

Oh, don't worry about those guys. I figure it just goes without saying that they're all just running around in the background, looting and pillaging The Capitalist's little baconfruit plantation. There's probably some stuff on fire all about, but that's nothing new for Avvy. Rei's just sorta watching everything go down until she's necessary.

And who am I to get in the way of Pyros and Newb getting shot? I might do something new on monday, maybe...

you know, i did try and give us some sort of direction to go when i mentioned the cave system that we could've used to actually get to the seal but it seems that idea has been scrapped for more endless wandering. i mean this is still the 1st temple where in here and we're still lost! im sensing this may well be the longest rp ever by the time we get to the end. thats assuming we ever do get to the end

For Bruticus, I more tend think of him speaking with few words, mainly in a monotone and with an accent and manner of speaking a little like an evil Bond.

And yes, he shot the spell. For he is the very epitome of a large man with a gun.

Fenris, here's a slightly more in depth description:
We found a plantation being run by a businessman named The Capitalist which is growing mutant fruit. He offered to show us the way further into the Temple and treat us to lunch if we'd sign some NDA's because his product is ready to market yet. Flare attacked him in the middle of lunch, making him demand they leave immediately.

Most people left, but some have stuck around and are currently being menaced by The Capitalist's hired goon, Bruticus. Newb and Pyros have both been shot. POS has called in a strike force to get try and get a monopoly on the product and the rest are back in the jungle. Strangely enough, people who didn't eat any of The Capitalist's food have weird voices threatening them and everything seems to be conspiring against them.

As for you Hawk, we're in the middle of an extraordinarily large underground cavern so we'd still have to actually find that cave. Besides, said cave system you mentioned leads out of the Temple. We only have one or at most two more fights until the Caryatid. I'm quite looking forwards to it. I believe it can be best summarised by 'screaming madhouse'.
