Vigilo - Confido
|
Melfice had, as usual, been hanging back a bit.
A foe mostly immune to physical attacks was not something he could deal with. And his enchanted sword wasn't strong enough. When Sithdarth gave the warning, Indori formed the rock-armour again. Melfice dearly hoped it would shield him from the radiation... just to be save, he moved further away from the living... what was the word again? SAAM had told him once... Marcowave?

Swallow and Roll Out!
|
This post comes in two parts. The Long, rambling story:
Rhiya was still in shock. How could her wings not be there? She was definitely standing in her own body. She felt everything being in the right places. Just... her wings refused to come out. She patted the top of her head. Yep, her head wings were gone too. Not only that, her gloves weren't there. Her claws of eviscerations were... absent. Rhiya tried to focus, tried to get her wings to come out and obey her, willed her mind as hard as possible until she had a migraine. Then Arhra-dragon swatted her. Rhiya felt her body break up, bones crunching against bones in agonizing pain. Her body was crushed by the force of impact from the claws. Her body was tossed like a ragdoll, limp and soundless, into the air and landed with a finalistic thud a good twenty or so yards away. Rhiya felt herself die just as the waves of ethereal death washed over her body, too late in wringing life out of the already-dead Rhiya. Now, the second part - in Summary: Rhiya went splat. Now, the important part: The broken corpse that was Rhiya's body twitched, and then began to glow. It was at first a faint sort of angry, dull red glow that pulsed, before rapidly increasing in luminiscence and intensity, until Rhiya's body seemed to be engulfed in what could only be explained as a Black Body. Then she exploded. Incandescent energy blasted out in all directions, seething with burning, bright hurtfulness. [OOC: will post what happens in my next post. For now, I must pick up my sister from her friend's place!]

Ara ara!
|
The attack tossing Rhiya like a rag doll, Arhra focused on returning to her normal form, wanting the superior ability to make dramatic gestures. Her crystal bulk shrunk, serpentine length contracting until Arhra's humanoid body emerged out of the vanishing dragon. She took a step forwards and then stumbled, feeling an unfamiliar pressure on her back.
From her back protruded wings, jet black and of a curiously indistinct feathery nature. The twitched at Arhra's surprise. Being quick on the uptake for things like this, Arhra checked her head and found a smaller pair of wings there. She considered it for a moment, ignoring someone yelling in the background. "It would appear we got slightly blended dear." Arhra mused aloud to Rhiya. Mesden went nuclear, firing off her soul blast. Arhra spun around in anger. "Aren't you supposed to be fighting Raiden?!" she hissed, grasping for chaotic magic to forge into both protection and weapon. It wasn't there. Bewildered, Arhra mentally fumbled around searching for it and then the blast hit, catching the confused succubus/chaos being completely unprotected. Arhra promptly keeled over dead. Over seconds that felt like eternity, Rhiya exploded and then golden rings cascaded from the sky in a column of light. A flash and Arhra appeared above the reborn Rhiya, landing heavily as the rings went back to wherever they came from. "Sorry." Arhra politely said, not looking down at her cushion and sprang to her feet, holding a brand new plasma rifle. Unlike Rhiya, Arhra didn't immediately dispose of the weapon. "If you don't want people interfering, do a proper job!" Arhra shouted defiantly back at Mesden, cocking her newfound weapon and letting the 'goddess' have it. * * * Feeling brief and uneventful, Arhra looked back at Inbred, "So what's the plan?" she asked. * * * "So for a welcome I get attacked by evil marmalade and then microwaved?" the Arhra at the Kurosen Tower said, having just ducked a blow from a psuedopod that had dented the wall, "Thanks a lot guys." Grumbling to herself about lousy ingrates, Arhra called up her own magical power and then tried to decide what should be done with it. It was a conundrum indeed, made worse by the distraction of being microwaved. Thankfully, the marmalade killer seemed to be distracted by Nikose and his shadowy associates.

There is no Toph, only Melon Lord!

After having exhausted a rather large attack that, in the time-fuck that is NPF Avatar continuity, was still in the process of hitting everyone else, Mesden wasn't in much position to dodge out of the way of super heated bolts of energy, and the shots that Arhra fired off against her before she could mount a proper defense tore away pieces of her container, revealing the presence of her spirit underneath the faux-flesh.
Once she had the concentration to reform her earlier discarded shield (Now a part of her hand, ah the perks of being a raw entity), she had already lost most of her left arm, her right shoulder, a chunk out of her cheek, and much of her torso and thighs, which left her looking like a ragamuffin convergence of a physical body and spiritual one. "Oh, dammit Arhra, I liked this shell." |

The Obfuscated One
|
Keyman was unaware that nobody was listening on the other end of his communicator, so he continued talking. "Umm, the nice robot lady turned off her gravity effect and then the brown sludge turned into some form of non-elemental giant mutant marmalade with access to attacks of various elements. Also, some crazy guy is shouting, can't tell where from, and he's flooding the room with microwaves so things might sound a little staticky and I'm gonna drop my weapon until it's safe to touch again, which is rather inconvenient because my spells don't work as good without being channelled through something suitable. What should I do?"
As if in response to his question, Keyman's goggles immediately updated. Among the mission parameters was now listed "don't get killed by the evil mutant marmalade."

Armored quickly transformed out of her mecha girl cosplay, knowing that her life would be short in a microwave if she stayed composed of metal and pseudoflesh and nanomachines. The only question she had was...what kind of form could survive in a microwave? She could think of anything except-
Her CosGear answered her question for her. Armored now stood almost naked, wearing only a dress shirt. Shirt'd Bishoujo backed up against the wall as much as she could. She was uncomfortably hot, but at least she wasn't boiling in her own internal juices. "Is it safe to be doing this kind of stuff in an enclosed space?" she asked uncertainly, obviously clueless as hell. "This shit won't damage the tower, right?" |

Fenris protected the cat from the radiation. It was just too cute.
He went over to Sithdarth and yelled, "Hey, don't do that in the Kurosen! Are you mad?! Well... yes, but are you stupid?!" He deposited the kitten onto Sith's head and resumed running from the creature.

Sith was rather puzzled, "Whats the matter its just a little heat more or less and some plasma discharges. About the only thing getting damaged is the paint job and hopefully that monstrosity."
Indeed Sith had been doing his very best to direct the vast majority of the waves at the monster. Further aiding his efforts was Fenris' hammer which aside from heating up on its one was attracting a good deal of the discharges. Coincidently the second the cat hit Sith's head it was transformed. Borrowing from his current nature the cat morphed and became an unholy physical incarnation of Heisenberg's famous paradoxical cat. Both alive and dead at the same time and forever safe from harm. That is until someone tried really hard to determine which it was. |

Fenris ran back by Sith, having forgotten to ask something.
"Hey, will my hammer be safe for weilding after this? It's kind of a memento."

Sith shrugged a bit, "It should be ok just a little blackened with soot and probably hot for awhile."
