Depends on how long it took you to post that.
Thief and Drizz'l don't have to be talking about gay sex. They can be talking about the weather. Maybe discussing the latest episode of Lucy. I like to think that their plotting a way to abruptly end their webcomic, 128-bit Theater, and/or piss off a whole bunch of non-elves. |

That girl is Princess Sara. Remember how Fighter loved EPS? That's why he imagined himself as her. By extension, EPS is the Onion Kid and also Chaos, as well as Sarda and White Mage's daughter. She was only adopted by King Steve. That's why they share practically nothing in common.

I disagree. I didn't technically make any claims. I don't believe any of this to be true.
But if I talk about it, someone else will. It's very much like being a lawyer, really. Edit: removed something I decided might be too offensive, even for this crowd. Last edited by Spekkio; 12-13-2008 at 02:15 AM. |

I think we need confirmation on the lil' orphan's gender before we decide whether s/he's actually EPS or some generic wizard who did it. I'm gonna say though, there's far less support for the Onion Kid = EPS theory than there are for others I could name.

The web comic medium is a peculiar one to me, and 8-Bit theater exemplifies it. Ignoring the question of what will happen if this site is gone and assuming some archive remains in existence in perpetuity, reading that archive after the comic is over will almost be more like going back and reading, rather than seeing a performance of, an old play. A lot of 8-Bit Theater has been a sort of "In the moment" comic. This instance will really have no impact to someone reading a long archive clearly knowing more pages follow, (be they print of some hypertext wizardry). But yet there is something real to it. There was, for two days, real people who thought that the comic was over, and to those of us who have become familiar with Mr. Clevingers humor, knew how that would be such a fitting move on his part, especially for this comic, that we only didn't believe that the comic was truly over because we knew that he'd have to pull the curtain away and say "nya-ha! Fooled you".

Brian can't do these sorts of pranks anymore because it makes the 8-bit Theater subforum a giant hole of awful for days on end.
On the comic: Hah, I lold.
