I immediately assumed it was Ivankov, since we know that the two of them worked together, and "babe" does seem to me like the kind of thing h'she'd say.
A friend of mine considered Sabo and the appearance of the guy hanging out with Robin on the first page of chapter 546. It's a bit of a long shot, but it would make a pretty nice callback, I think.

 So anyway, that save Ace operation sucked. Although it seems our heroes are making many new friends. I think Hawkeyes put it best when he so casually revealed that he possesses the greatest power in the universe. ( He is aware that he's living in a Shonen manga.) "Ruffy is invincible cause he makes friends with everyone." Also, I'm calling it now: We never get to know what the One Piece is. It's the Pulp Fiction briefcase all over again. Yeah, in finding it they will uncover the secret history of the world and possibly find out what D is for, but that's just going to be fringe benefits. It's going to end with the heroes looking into the shiniest treasure chest, fade to black, "One Tin Soldier" plays in the background.

I always thought the one piece was quite litteral and simple. It is ALOT of wealth. Gold, jewels, other shiny and rare things.

I always figured the One Piece was just a big load of treasure, too, but hey who knows. Oda seems like the type of guy who likes to tie things up, but in a way you'd never expect. I deem him impossible to predict. My eternal example: Brook and Laboon.
My friend made the guess that "the crew getting back together" is going to be the equivalent of "going to fishman island." That seems cruel and unusual to me, though.

Actually, before Whitebeard died, he said that after One Piece was found, a big war will erupt, so I don't think the story's going to end at them finding One Piece.
