There are those who believe that pedophilia is just a preference, like being hetero- or homo-sexual. In fact, pedophilia would have been much better accepted than homosexuality hundreds of years ago.

The difference between pedophiles and child molesters is that most pedophiles realize they suffer from a potentially dangerous disease and seek to cure or control it, while child molesters say stuff like this in order to justify molesting kids.

Now if it was me I'd have kept him around just to keep a record of his movements and posting habits, and maybe straighten him out. . .

Everyone is creepy in their own way, but people shouldn't be banned because there are suspicions, just if they break the rules, least imo. It was gray in his case and quite funny so it's a pass.

To be fair, that quote was a third party quote, he was at least claiming he was told this. EDIT: or at least thats what I get out of the post as he talked about visiting pedo heavy sites. Again, I suspect he had something wrong with him, but can't say so unless he was propositioning children on the forum.

No, I specifically stated it was two forum boards ago. TWC was only 1 board ago. This goes way-way back & is only vaguely referenced in Shiney's Nuklearpedia article.

I don't think I was actually temp-banned inasmuch as taken aside and given a thorough talking-to. 5 months later I was a mod, and now I run the damn forums. I'm STILL not sure how all that happened.

I might have been banned though. Our forum's history seems to be in large part:

A) be a jackass
B) get very visibly reprimanded/punished
C) be promoted to mod

and in rare circumstances D) usurp ownership of the forums and slowly begin turning them into your own personal little fiefdom complete with a vineyard and korean slaves.

Planned expansions: outdoor pool, arcade, movie theater with 2 screens, BALL PIT, shooting range, all you can eat buffet and the Temporarium (cancelled due to retroactive non-existence).
