Why does Thadius have heterochromia now?

I liked the last panel of the first comic. Way to play up Michael's dickish little comment.

He always did. Or to be more specific, he always did when unmasked. Remember that avatar he used to have with one eye glowing blue and one eye glowing green? That's why.

Wait wait wait, does one eye change color when he loses the helmet, or do both? Is it like a Visored mask or something?

Both. Pretty sure with the helmet on, they're both black, but with it off, one is green and the other is dark purple, which is just left over from Mac using his own sheet to produce Thad's un-helmeted head, which in turn may be a hazard of the particular Sabin sheet he grabbed (the original has dark blue eyes in all I've seen).
