Stranger in a strange land.

Sadness.
Sadness in his eyes, looking at the crowd, seeing their faces, darkened with guilt, burdened with sin. Anger. Anger in their eyes, Seeing his perfection, teasing them to hate the thing that he was: A savior. Pain. Pain on his face, hands nailed down, hanging there for them, dying there for them, for their future. For all of them, he had died, Giving them all second tries By taking on all of the blame, Leaving them with the shame. For they had killed their savior. And he forgave them.

Sometimes you don't know
|
On the stage, lights so bright
A beautiful girl twists and turns To satisfy men's desires through the night. Even though her stomach churns Still she dances. She needs the cash to feed her son Give him a place to rest his head It is a battle that will never be won Inside she is dead Still she dances. In the audience, a man holds up money She moves over to him with grace In a sultry voice she asks, "What'll it be, honey?" Wishing she could hide her face Still she dances. When the show is over, she goes home To her child, so pure One who would never roam Thinking that a stripper's dance holds a cure ... Still, she dances for him. *** I'm not sure where this came from.

The cold winds are blowing,
The streets are getting dark. Snow is falling, Over the hills of the park. As the snow starts piling On the streets and the cars. I wonder how safe it would be to go out wandering afar. I look out the window And survey the scene. Then, decide to close the blinds And go get some ice cream. |

A saddened face in the dark,
hiding away, keeping quiet, silently crying the tears that are the most pure: Sadness. A person comes, and comforts, but the sad face turns away, seeking solace in the tears flowing from within himself. A thought from the comforter, she looks into his face, smiles her brightest smile, saying, "It's all right." The smile seeps into his mind, becomes a light, defeating the dark sadness within, and slowly, he too smilies. A new day dawns on these two, ready to face the world, showing that a simple smile will change one's life for the better.

This pain
I can't stand this pain anymore
Makes me think "What is this life for?" The pain, hurting me so I can't feel The pain, making marks that will never heal The pain, making me so cold inside The pain cuts so deep, splitting wounds open wide This pain, killing what is left of me Blinding me badly so that I can't see This pain, trying to make me realize that life is only a goddamn lie That love is but a myth in the end That love will break you so that you can't mend This pain will leave me battered and torn and thinking a shining light's never born This pain is going to be the end of me I want to end this pain so I can be free So I'll leave it here and go to the sky I know it won't follow when I choose to die. (Edit: I'm sorry, I know this sounds like most of my other poems, but I couldn't find inspiration for much else..)

no one reacts the way I want them to
is this a problem? am I something less? I long for understanding, I truly do my best but all the faces laughing, I don't know what to do I'm trying to care, so hard its all for nothing, isn't it? isn't it! give me lies instead of bread, a banquet for the damned and all my words will burn away |

Anger
A tall figure stands; whip in hand to make sure they move faster. Sneering at others, it shouts, “Move, move you animals, or your backsides will pay.” The people groan as it cracks the whip, they are slaves and it is the master. In the chambers, no sound is heard, no one laughs, no one cries, it’s the same everyday. A cruel heartless chuckle comes from mansion, where it sits and watches everyone. “After a hard days work, you just got to relax.” It says out loud, but no one can hear. “Help us, please let us go.” The slave’s cry, but their pleas are shunned. “No” it says, “For here you will stay, under my close watch, no happiness, just fear.” The slaves cannot do anything; they just work and complain. While it sits up top warm and cozy as he directs the train. |

I feel free

For One Night
We'll sit together, laughing like we used to No longer thinking of whether our feelings are true Silenced thoughts and forgotten lives, The place where our kind can learn to thrive. We missed each other without realizing And turning a corner we found our thoughts surprising Never did I dream this corner would lead me to you Never did I surmise that my needs were so true. So here we are, your hand in mine, You lying against my chest, defying the course of time. You listen to my heart, breathing life into my skin, I remember I promised myself this would never happen again. But tonight you're with me, and I will be with you Tonight we will find out what we really want to do. Tonight we will teach each other how to love and do it right, But only for just one night.

Colours of Me
The colour of a clear blue sky, The colour of your eyes. The colour of the tears I cry, Since you said good-bye The colour of the heart in me The colour of your death. It's the colour that I'm seeing, As you draw on your last breath. The colour of your love. The colour of sweet sound. It's the colour of your blood as it flows upon the ground ----- Intensity The fires of passion melt your heart of ice and once again, love triumphs ----- Inspired by the red pen The fire burns bright. The heat scalds your skin. There's evil tonight, And the temptation to sin ----- Mourning My Loss If I could scream at the etrnal void, life would have more meaning. Eternal damination awaits us all. By the void of nothingness we are consumed. The landscape of my mind is a field of woe In nothingnes I drown. Anarchy consumes all. I broke my watch today. ----- ... and just in case this comes up, (although it is doubtful) i did not steal these poems from Illiterate Babbling (www.geocities.com/illiterate_babbling). I did write them, under the name of Master Of Puppets.
