Way closer to Italy and Austria. I checked before making that post. They're about as close to France as they are to Turkey, but my ability to recognize European language is limited to French, Spanish, Italian, German, Russian, and, of course, English.

That leaves a lot of dead space.

I'm not arguing about it, just explaining my thought process. I've only met two people from that general area, a Bosnian cook and my Turkish business teacher, so I took a shot in the dark.
