I'm just gonna go ahead and link the artist's gallery. It just seems fair to do when sharing their pictures.
Also there's lots of awesome Mother art there.

Dear NPF, I put this challenge to you.
I do not know why or how the thought entered my brain, but I cannot deny it any longer. I am looking for a reasonably passable picture of a Mafia boss shooting laser beams out of his eyes. The only reason I wish to find a picture of this is because I think it would look goddamn awesome. Failing that, a Mafia boss setting things on fire with the power of his mind would also do.

Hey NPF, answer me this question.
What's the name of the instrument the old man was playing in that movie Hero?

http://online.chinesemusic.co.uk/ima...ent_poster.jpg Edit: I'm trying to think of the movie right now, and it MIGHT have been a zheng too. I can't remember though. Edit: Wait.... I might be thinking of the robot scene, but was he plucking the strings or striking them? It may have been a yangqin as well. Fuck, I can't remember at all. I need to watch Hero again. Incidentally, the guqin is one of my favourite instruments in the world. To hear it played well is really something else.

Pretty sure it was one of the smaller Zithers. Awesome, thanks.
Is that a word I could get away with using in a made-up fantasy world?

Zither? Yeah, I think you could. Just make sure you give some indication of what it is.
Edit: And I'd look them up before you use one, because they are used in very different ways. Especially the guqin. In Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Zhuge Liang is at one point left with only a handful of officers in Xicheng. The other legendary general, Sima Yi is in a position to overrun him completely. Zhuge Liang knows he is completely and utterly fucked, so what does he do? He opens all of the gates to his city, and as Sima Yi puzzles over the matter, he sits down on the wall and begins to play his guqin*. He plays so well and so confidently that Sima Yi is convinced he could not put on such a performance if he were not fully confident, and orders a retreat.
