I would probably say martial artist but I'm going on the assumption that dragoons are almost part-dragon, because that's how I've seen them in video games. But of course, I could be wrong, and I wouldn't be suprised if I was.

Dragoons arent part dragon...in fact, most of them have special attacks designed to specifically kill dragons...but Mr. V, if you wanna be somethin dragoon like, be a Ronso. They can jump, and most use spears.

The way I'm thinking, a dragoon would basically be a Lancer that could imitate dragon skills (Ie: Fire Breath, Bolt Breath, Dragon Force, etc.) as well as mad jumping skillz and spear combat ability. Perhaps my dragoon char would work as a guardian from the Bahamut temple sent out to protect one of the summoners that another person is playing as. Would that work (in the public eye)?

The dragoon in history was an elite corps of mounted calvary. They were heavily armored and rode very heavy warhorses (we're talkin clydesdales). The used longspears initially on the charge to break up the formation they were charging into then would take out large swords, like mini-zweihanders, and begin lopping off heads. They were more used to break the opposing forces front line than anything else. Big buff guys on horses bigger than your cart tended to work that way.

Wow, I miss a day and look at all the posts I had to read @_@
Okay, I'll try answering all the questions I remember. Q. Do we all travel together? A. No. Everyone travels on their own pilgramage, and goes to the temples in whatever order they want to, as long as the Final Summoning is Final. Q. Are the summons from FF X the only ones we can get? A. No. If some makes up a temple with a summon, anyone can go get it, however they are not required too. Q. What's Spira like 1,000 years ago? A. Whatever you want it to be like. Use your imagination, just make sure all the locations are still there. Q. Can we start this thing already! A. Sure. If I had the time and energy right now, I'd start, but everyone else feel free. I'll jump in when I get back. |

Yeah, but when turned fantasy, they were switched to Dragon killers. Same idea (Heavy armor, big weapons), but attacked dragons... I think FF twisted the idea of a Dragoon with the jumping spear guys (For the worse)
Edit - 1000 years ago was when Sin first appeared, and everything was basically destroyed... This should be about 500 years ago.

This true. I just like to show off my expansive knowledge of medieval warfare. I'm not good for much else.
And I think that basically you'd be Khimari all over again Viewtiful. Except human.

He better use a Ronso, not a human.. (Edit) Kimari was short for a Ronso by the way.
And Rhuhael, you should get rid of the black magic in your guy... We have around 2 black mages, and 3 dark knights. All use black magic. We don't need any more.
