conspiracy theory:
The real epilogue is the disappointment of the readers.

The comic was meant to end with that "fake" ending of it all being a dream. But when Brian got so many "thanks for the good run" responses to it he realized he needed to make 8bit have an even more disappointing end to be more inline with the series.

One that never comes.


edit: btw I'm not being serious or whining about how long it's taking for the epilogue, just something I thought of
