Sure, I could do it that way. I'll try to do it that way, anyways. But if Renny's fast at getting his next post out, I'll just finish up then.
But if Renny's fast? I meant 'but if Menarker's fast'. I think I done lost my mind. |

^^ That's ok. Renny has gotten to be QUITE the iconic character. Almost all the characters have been compared using Renny as the measuring scale, measure pokemon's personality by how they would react if Renny hugged them, numberous gags about killing him or otherwise negating him, seducing his mom with a Snorlax suit, a huge wildfire argument sparking from him being selected as leader by Rayleen and probably a bunch of other stuff too.
^^ This character ranks up to one of my most memorable characters ever made in an RP, when compared to Ark from the Final Fantasy RP who is min-maxed to a laughable degree, Mero from Magical Fracas who apparently caused quite a stir from Phil and Teal Mage and a few others you guys would not know of from my past RP experiences. :3 |

Hey, y'guys wanna do a mission I just came up with?
I'll start creating some optional missions that you can just go "hey, I like that idea, let's do that one!" and we can do them in between plot missions. If we accept them, I'll use them to accomplish some of the plot-related things I can't seem to fit in yet, like certain Ruin General fights and whatnot. Here's some of these Optional Missions: Strange Journey - The main characters live their fantasies in some nice dream world, but it isn't long before the happy dream turns into a horrifying nightmare. And what the hell're you all doing in the same dream? And how come you can't wake up? Rescue the Hamlet! - A quiet little hamlet of people who live in tandem with Pokemon and nature comes under attack by a militant group of anti-Pokemon activists new to the region and their manmade monsters, the Evolith. Battle In the Arena! - Originally set to be Mission 4 (to bring the beach mission closer and for you guys to decide when you really want to fight each other), this mission allows you guys to flex your fury against each other. We'll discuss this mission beforehand to decide stuff like rules in battle to get the proper balance. |

Those are neat. ^^
"Strange Journey" seems the best to me by a long shot, followed somewhat by "Battle in the Arena" perhaps (although I got a bit of an unfair advantage in that I already got my 6th pokemon with legendary stats). Rescue the Hamlet... doesn't seem that interesting and making up yet another monster type seems odd. Plus we would FINALLY see a bit into Matthias' mind if we saw his dreams (or how he interacts in the dream world). Learn more about his character. One thing I would like to see more of, maybe in a future mission? I wanna see a bit more of exploration or puzzle-solving stuff like in the first mission. We had to decide tactically how to attack the bank to save hostages, dealing with overwhelming numbers, how not to get hit by snipers, deal with a time limit, that sort of thing. It rewarded the use of HMs (I used Rock Climb to ambush the rooftop guys!) and it was great discussion both OOC and IC. Would be neat if we had the chance to do underwater missions or something to use those HMs. Maybe a ship with ambassadors is hijacked or hit a reef and we gotta save them, defuse a bad situation and all that. Also divide up pokemon movesets between combat moves and utility moves like Dig or Teleport or other such moves and other such things. Basically, it was quite FUN when we acted like a swat team and not just a rag-tag team of mercenaries to save the world. (Although that's awesome too.) Not saying we got to do it all the time, but once or twice more would be neat! Last edited by Menarker; 05-07-2010 at 02:01 AM. |

So yeah. This RP has 5 characters. They're all iconic. Renny's nothing special. Edit: And I like all of those, really. Strange Journey or Rescue the Hamlet would let me do a lot with Impact. Arena battle? If we still get a chance to PvP during the party, there'll be no need for that. Also, I don't think there actually would have been sniper fire in the first mission. |

Gem? Your PM box is fully filled up and I can't send you any PMs due to that.
FIX IT! And I said iconic, not important. Renny isn't exactly a driving force in the plot, or at least not yet, at least compared to Pierce's backstory which may end up being related to Faynoc or Impact's future political plans which may spell doom for us all. He just gets mentioned a WHOLE LOT for a whole variety of topics. To the point that even I accidently think of myself as Renny, not Menarker. I personally just find it amusing, but it's not anything to be proud about aside from making me smile a little. ^^ Renny is like the moogle or chocobo on a Final Fantasy box. Everyone thinks and knows of them whenever Final Fantasy is brought up, but it isn't always a key factor. Anyhow, I'm off to bed. Gem, I hope your PM box is tidied up a little so I can send you my messages soon! Last edited by Menarker; 05-07-2010 at 02:37 AM. |

My inbox has been tidied. Stupid 100-pm limit. Now let us continue our conversation regarding puppies and candy and NO WORLD DOMINATION AT ALL, NOPE.
And fair enough. Iconic, if not important. Though my competitive side still wants to compare Impact's iconicness to Renny's and come out ahead. Ah well. Perhaps after his side-quest. |

God, my connection to this site is really slow, for whatever reason. I'll have that post finished shortly. Jus' gotta decide enemy actions for the Front Lawn now that they're recovered from their losses.
EDIT 1: Even if you don't come to the rescue of the hamlet, Evoliths are a pretty big thing in Honmyr. The Army uses 'em a LOT. Last edited by Astral Harmony; 05-07-2010 at 04:21 AM. |

I'm imagining a freaky Farfetch'd mutant being born out of a trash bin. I'm for Strange Journey and Battle Arena. AB, I can't believe you made the "over nine-thousand" joke. You should burn in hell for that. Okay, I'm not sure what we should hit. The Flamethrower obviously deals Fire damage, so we should ignore it. I'm guessing the Artillery Cannon deals Steel type damage, or maybe Fighting (I mean, if a rifle can do it...). I say we concentrate on one of the Recoilless Cannons and one of the Missile Racks. Faynoc is Pierce's father!

I'd imagine that it's the recoilless cannons that deal fighting damage... Perhaps the artillery can hit multiple targets? But considering the amount of firepower we have available, we probably wouldn't manage to take out the artillery. Focus fire on the port recoilless cannon.
And I demand that in some later mission we all get to ride on Lexhur while barreling through a swath of helpless foes, calling out targets for him. In fact, can we do mission three that way? Break up the riot by killing everyone? Oh, and I agree with the point Menarker made regarding mission set-up. A bit more freedom might be fun. We're pretty much limiting ourselves to what you could do in the game, but this doesn't have to use game logic. Rules, yes, but not logic. |
