Oh come on, guys. I'm absent for two days, and what happens? We've gone ages without filling up a thread! Where's the spam? The endless discussions? The RP's almost progressing faster than we are.

Anyway, back to the RP. Plot is interesting... I'm torn on how to respond to this. I thought Renny was supposed to be the idealistic one, he's gonna be pissed that Pierce is muscling in on hit territory.

Oh god, wouldn't it be funny if there was a pokemon that was capable of knowing when someone was lying? And everytime Pierce lied or said something he truly didn't meant, it would flare up or something in front of everyone?

If you look back at Renny's little backstory/speech back in mission 2, it was less optimism (although he would want to), and more idealism.

Then again, there is no way to convince anyone who thinks of Renny as stupid and naive of anything resembling philosophy. :3

A normal psychic pokemon can just lie about whether a someone was lying or not or a person could just claim that pokemon is lying about whether he actually felt a falsehood or not.

What I meant was a pokemon whose body reacts visably when a lie takes place. Like he or she can't hide or help it.

That way, it happens right in everyone's face, no need for a middle-man to possibly muck up the interpretion. :3

Any of you watched that Disney version of "The Black Cauldron"? That harp the bard carried which snapped its strings every time he lied? Same notion.

EDIT: @Charlotte: Renny's wine thing is supposed to be pretty damn intoxicating. :3 Ah well, there is no reason why Charlotte can't be one of the characters with a stomach made of iron. It would make her reaction to everyone else swooning funny... especially with blackmail pictures. :3

Besides, drunk Pierce is one of those things that makes you never sleep well again. So yeah, better if Pierce is no lightweight.

One thing that came to my mind about Pierce and Renny's comparitive "idealism"... Renny's is more about personal philosophy. Something in a way that guides his own life and choices (which kinda make sense since he's still growing up and making choices). Pierce's idealism (aside from sounding as if he was in a hollywood movie) seems a bit on the impersonal and more general idealism about what he hopes the outcome would be.

Mind you, I still think it came out sounding like it was rather out of character, so I thought Pierce was ALREADY DRUNK.

It didn't seem out of character for me, but that's probably because I wrote it. And he's my character. I'll try to tone down the hollywoodness in future speeches, though.

What the hell would Pierce be drunk on? Three beers? Please.
