The Healer looked outside, and frowned. "Your friend needs quite in order to recover. Go see what you can do about that racket."
"Yes, Master Healer." Nathaniel said. Nathaniel walked out the door, then slowly came to a stop. The King's Guard were everywhere, rounding up whoever they saw. Nathaniel calmly re-entered the Healer's tent. "We must of been found out." Nathaniel said. "I beg your pardon." the Healer asked. Nathaniel looked at. "My pardons, Master Healer. It is best if you don't know. If there is anything you can do to speed this man's recovery, do it. He'll need all the strenght he has every soon." Nathaniel looked away from the confused Healer, and towards the sack he brought, then shook his head. No, not the kamas. These men are only following orders, and are probably good men...at least, the old King's Guard was. Still, he had to try to lead them away from Devon. Nathaniel didn't know if the man would survive being moved in his state. Nathaniel looked to the healer. "Do you have anything magical in nature?" Nathaniel asked. The healer looked surprised. "My staff has some minor healing enchantments, but why..." Before the healer could finish his question, Nathaniel had the staff in his hand. To the healer, it looked as though the man's skin suddenly when from an unhealthy pale white a tan that a farmer would have, and the black hair turned to brown, and a thick, ghastly scar appeared on the man's neck. "I thank you for your kindess." Nathaniel said. "I don't know how long I will be able to distract them. Prepare this man to be moved as best you can. I doubt the Guard will leave him be because of his wounds." Nathaniel stepped out of the tent. A trio of guards noticed him. "You there!" the lead one said. "Stop in the name of King Roland the..." Nathaniel turned and looked them in the eye. The guard's eyes widened. "It's Death's Blade!" one of the guards in back said. Nathaniel gave a predatory smile, then ran towards the wagons. Maybe I can keep our stuff from falling into Roland's hands. he thought to himself. "Stop! Stop in the name of the King!" the guards yelled, overcoming the shock of facing one of the legended Knights. Nathaniel ran, but not as hard as he could. He needed to make sure the armored guards could keep pace with him...for a little while at least. As the wagons came in view, his smile faded. The King's Guard were already all over the wagons. Some saw him, and moved to cut him off. Nathaniel turned to flee, but two guards with crossbows blocked his path, both weapons aimed at him. "Ah, freakin' brillant." Nathaniel said to himself. He raised his hands above his head, until a guard knocked him to his knees, and rough tied his hands behind his back. He was dragged away, and was put with the rest of the Knights who had been captured and identified. Nathaniel looked at them, and nodded. "I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who decided against cutting my way out of here."

Most interesting, but there will be time to remark upon that later, the hunter thought as he watched Nathaniel's encounter with the guards. Without being noticed he brushed through the tent flap into the healer's room.
The healer looked up at him, attempting to move the body of his Prey. "Leave this man be!" he said, interceding his body between the Hunter and his Prey, "He is wounded, and of no concern of yours." "Aye," the hunter said in a voice as cold and deadly as the blade of a sword, "and it was I who wounded him. I have come here to finish the job." "What!? I will not let you harm my patient!" "Do you even know what you are healing? Do you even know what lies behind you on that stretcher? Perhaps the truth shall change your mind--" At this, though, the tent flap, was pushed open by a gauntleted hand, as three armored guards burst into the room. The Hunter turned at their approach, his wide-brimmed hat concieling his face. "You!" they shouted, pointing at the Hunter. "Don't move." The Hunter grimaced as the two other guards fanned out to the other parts of the tent, pushed the healer roughly aside and examined the body. "Here's one of them, sir" said to turning to the first guard. "Good," said the leader, "Get on either side and haul him to the others. As for you..." he said turning back to the Hunter, but the Hunter was already gone, ducking out of the tent. "Halt," shouted the head guard, As they pursued him outside the tent, "In the name of..." But Hunter was no where to be found, blending in to the world around him, inconspicuous to all but the sharpest eye, as he fumed at his misfortune. It will be at my hands you die, my friend, he thought as he further distanced himself from the tents. This changes nothing!

As Rulick was flopped to the ground in front of Thomas and Nathaniel, a man in the crowd watched the scene intently, although his eyes seemed firmly locked on Rulick. Although, something seemed a little wrong with his eyes, they were lacking pupils and seemed to lack any soul at all. Their piercing deep and empty blue followed the young knight up until he was dropped, unconscious, on the ground. At that he turned around, full of thought.
"So the young one would sacrifice himself just to get a point across... Bravery... I was right, I could teach him a lot. Too bad I had to get that hit man killed, but to see him taken out by a fellow Marked One so easily... I'd say it was worth it. Now I just have to wait for him to escape with his friends before I can confront him." ooc: Just if anyone's wondering, I'm thinking Rulick should have a sort of mentor later on that he can learn from, so for now I just have to wait for an appropriate time for Rulick to meet him. |

Damion slowly but surely edges his way over to Jilleen, where he falls upon his knees, dragging Jilleen with him, where he puke sonto the grass. In the puke lies Jilleen's knife. "I told you I'd get it for you" he whispers to her before picking himself up and moving to check on the rest of the group.

There was a blur that streaked by the guards that were to protect Roland. The blur resolved itself into an old man which landed smack in front of Roland.
"Amazing. After you're granted a second chance, and salvation, your sinning begins again." A guard tried to hit the old man, but inexplicably found himself with a shattered arm instead. The old man stayed in front of Roland. "I think that now is the time for you to seek forgiveness, before your downfall fully arrives. I know that I have forgiven you, but how many others have? Do you believe God has?" Roland suddenly recognized the old man. Only one person could preach like that, could drive a wedge into Roland's self assured confidence. "GUARDS! GRAB HIM!" The old man lifted his arms out and let himself be grabbed. As he was being dragged away, Kal ominously said "Judgement will find the wicked wanting, and the just beloved. Which are you?"

Jilleen would probably never know how Damion managed to swallow, much less regurgitate her knife, but she didn't waste a moment, quickly sliding it inside her panties. It felt a little gross, but Jilleen was used to such disgusting things. "Get some control over yourself," Jilleen played along. "They probably won't feed us in the dungeon so it's not good to empty what lunch you do have."

Adin wasn't with the knights who'd been identified. Along with the other performers, he was sitting a short distance away, listening to hysterical questions about what was going on. He brushed most of them off, and tried to pretend he didn't know what they were talking about, or even shush them; he'd forgotten in the earlier confusion that if it came out he'd arrived with the others, he'd be done for anyway. Finally, he was spared more questions by an irritated "Shut up!" from one of the guards. Now he was free to study his surroundings, looking for something or someone who was sure to be watching: a Shadoweye.

Nathaniel knelt on the ground long enough to check over Rulick. Well...this turned out well. Most of us are okay, but we have a few people knocked out and-.
At this moment, Damion threw up. ...and Damion is sick. For goodness sake, I did NOT need to see that right now. Nathaniel looked up at the King, waiting for him to make his move. To gloat, to order them to die, to apologize for being such a jerk...anything! Come on, Roland. Nathaniel thought. You didn't round us up just to stare at us.

The thoughts running through Damion's head would have turned the stomach of even the stoutest warriors. First I'll remove one of his lungs through his nostril, then I'll Impale him through the chest with a wooden stake, and as he squirms upon the end of it like the insect he is, I'll begin stabbing him repeatedly in various parts of his body. Then I'll turn him inside out, that always seems to make them scream quite a bit. He had a huge maniacal grin on his face, rather large for someone who had just thrown up all over the grass.
