The fear of death pales in the comparison of the fear of Final Death. Helen's fear is actually rational because it saves her neck. Why is Gimble a rational thing to fear? In a dark world, he or another like him could actually pop up again. Plus, Gimble is crazy. Not comic relief crazy, but politely psychotic over an obsession.

Ask him enough questions in-game, and you find out he cut off his own hand and replaced it with a prosthetic one, just out of curiosity. This may well be the traumatic experience he inflicted on himself to become a true monster.

I want to know if I was the only one who actually saw all the Nosferatu when playing through the game, or if this is just another example of DFM bending what happened in the game for good writing.

I skipped Imalia and the Hacker (Although I do have all their dialog/interactions screenshotted) because I felt like they broke the mood I was going for. I'm planning on making a return visit instead of Gary's phoecall. The mood will be more relaxed, familiar and less threatening, and it would make it seem like the Warrens are returning to normal after the threat of all the flesh crafted creatures is gone. (As apparently only big, bad Gary stayed behind to defend the nest.)
