Tribal themed. It's gonna be called Tribalstuck. It's gonna be yaoi, but characters other than Karkat and John will feature in the story as well. Apparently they plan on including most of the cast. What I've heard of the story reminds me of a yaoi manga called Wild Rock. So fairly cliche, but the dude's a great artist and hey I like Homestuck slash so whatevs.

I find it more than a little ridiculous that you can see the whole spiel about how it's a tribal themed alternate universe, but the part you take issue with is John being gay in this AU. John and Karkat in tribal getups? Don't even bat an eyelash, because after all it's an alternate universe. But John liking penises? DEAR GOD

He's not being serious - well, I'm inferring that from the John quote which 80% of fanfiction disregards in the first place. The 20% being Vriska/Rose stuff. Heh.

Repetition of a joke does not increase its humor value, and dedication to that joke implies a certain degree of agreement with that joke.

Most of the better ones I've read actually take it into account. The bad ones would be bad regardless of if they took it into account.
