Okay. This is entirely your connection at this point.

I've bought games during huge steam sales before and have had like 8 hours tops on the download. Never even one day, much less four. And really, it doesn't even take the full 8 because the speeds increase on 'off hours' if you just leave it go.

...No it doesn't. Internet connectivity DRM is pretty prevalent and much more invasive on off the shelf games than Steam games.

Further, Steam actually does let you play without an internet connection so long as you log in once every so often and switch it to offline mode. I've sat playing dragon age/FO3/NV/other steam games when my internet was down for hours.

No not yet! That's why I didn't buy the pack. Sims 3 Pets (or whatever they call it) isn't out until the fall.

Did that, said everything was hunky dory.

I'm just gonna uninstall and reinstall the damn thing.

After I get down installing Mass Effect...

It just pissed me off a bit since I wanted to pass some time waiting for Mass Effect to finish up downloading and now I got another game to download instead.
