Tower's gotta be Beat Mesa. Most catastrophic thing in the game by far. There will probably be a good scene with it in the end-of-act animation. I guess you could probably use the meteors as well though. Moon could probably be uh... ghost Aradia at the ruins of her home. I guess you could edit a moon into it. The Devil could be a little tricky - I'm not sure of anything that really suits the whole hand-caught-in-a-vending-machine-because-you-won't-let-go-of-the-candy-bar aspect of it. Maybe something involving Eridan. For lulz, I guess you could do it as hyper-accessorized Jack, right before he got rid of all his trophies. Are you just doing the major suits, or do you plan to do the minor suits as well? Minor suits would require more editing, but they could totally work.

Well, see, the surrounding scene... I wanted the card to be a bit more interesting than just copy/pasting the scene in question, and having both WV and PM there sort of evokes the black-and-white sphinxes that are on the original card. The Quest Bed is still the focus of the scene, to be sure, but I thought that framing it with the monitor room gave it a bit more, you know? Plus it made it more work for me, so it felt like more of an accomplishment. I dunno, it may not have worked out as I planned.
I was thinking that the Beat Mesa would be the Wheel of Fortune, actually, and that The Tower may be Eridan, both halves of him. That, or Jack shattering Prospit or Derse. Both of those carry the air of wrack and ruin and all that jazz. As for The Devil and The Moon ... I also did The Emperor, though I may have gone a bit to far with editing on that one. I'm just planning on the trumps for now, but I suppose I could do the minor arcana as well if I took the time. Would it be better to use the Tarot's actual suits (Swords, Cups, Wands, Pentacles), or the suits that they became in modern playing cards? (Spades, Hearts, Clubs, Diamonds) With the former, I could do a lot with Swords and Wands, thanks to Dave, Bro, Eridan, and Rose. With the latter, it would also fit weirdly well, due to the quadrants.

Yeah, I thought of Vriska for the Devil, but I don't think she's really an ideal fit for the meaning associated with the card. Moon looks pretty good.
If you're gonna use Jack breaking Prospit, I'd go for when he slashes the chain holding its moon. Chain fills in for the tower itself pretty good. Beat Mesa could make a good Wheel of Fortune too. For the pips..... I'd probably go with the original suits. Edit: Sorry, when I said trumps before I meant major suits. I forgot that they're different things. Edit: I think? Cripes, now I forget.

I guess it's all about interpretation, because I felt that Vriska fit it almost too well, especially with the revelation of how she'd let her life become all but dictated by Mindfang's journal and such. Which is why I put an image of the journal behind her, and 8-balls in the pentacle. She's a controlling influence on the trolls beneath her in the picture, but she herself is a slave to her own addictions. It just felt right to me.
Anyway, I'm thinking of which one to do next. I could go ahead and do Jack Vs. Prospit for The Tower, or I could do Strength. I was thinking that Jade would be good for Strength. She hits a few of the card's meanings, and her hugging Bec after playing fetch with him looks remarkably like the original card's imagery. Though I wonder if she wouldn't be better as The High Priestess. Then again, Kanaya or Feferi might be better for The High Priestess. Though, Kanaya might be better suited for Temperance, what with her constant attempts at mediation. Argh. You see why I went for the ones that I felt were obvious first. At least I'm certain about Equius's place as The Hierophant. edit: I think Gamzee would be better as Death. Not just because he's a crazy murdertroll, but because he went through such a radical change when he went sober. Plus, he signaled the switch from silly Troll shenanigans to outright slasher-flick on a meteor. Change is a deep part of the meaning of the Death card. And end and a new beginning, all that jazz.

Hold off on that Tower card until the EOA. Lord English will probably partake in some universe nommings then.

Equius, being the STRONGEST, is clearly strength.

But Strength represents patience, kindness, serenity, perseverence, compassion, etc. It's all about inner strength.
Meanwhile, the Hierophant, in addition to its religious connotations, represents institution, conservatism, tradition, status quo. Also, a mature mentor (Equius to Nepeta). Equius is so set in the caste system, right up to his death, that there's hardly any card he'd be better suited for. edit: And yeah, Tower and Wheel of Fortune are to wait until the End of Act. I'm betting that there will be some prime destruction to be seen, or shots of the Beat Mesa.

According to AH's Twitter, the progress bar indicates the number of animation frames completed out of total frames to be done. So... now it means something.
