Okay then. It's not gonna go well with the music, but the meaning should be accurate enough.

Also, I'm afraid I can't help you with the parts in latin. That's why I put it up here rather than send a PM: so the latin speakers can have a go at it.

-----
When the gondolas are in mourning (1)
And the dead's mourning echoes
Terror is breathing down your neck (2)

When the clock begins to strike
Cold, dense clouds of fog
Softly touch you...
Midnight!

loca in ferna in nocte
loca in ferne in nocte
animae in nebula (spirits in the fog, I think)
... midnight!

media nox obsurca nox
crudelitas animarum
campana sonat
duo decies
... midnight! (x2)

When the blood is freezing in your veins
Fear is choking you
You hear your heartbeat in the strokes of the bells (3)

loca in ferna in nocte...

media nox obsurca nox...
-----

Some annotations:

1 - The first line is a play on the German title of the movie Don't Look Now, which was "Wenn die Gondeln Trauer tragen." This means literally translated "When the gondolas are in mourning," referring to the venetian boats.
German movie titles as a rule aren't known for being especially witty, I might add.

2 - Actually, this is gramatically wrong in German. It would be like saying "terror is breathing down your neck heavily"; also, it's impersonal, making the "your" obsolete.

3 - "beating" referring to the heart and "striking" referring to a bell both are "schlagen" in German.

-----

And if someone who knows Latin could be so kind as to take a look at the Latin parts...

Sorry about double posting, but it's about something entirely different.

I came across a site where you can download videos of very impressive combos in Guilty Gear. They're set to music and one of the tracks is positively awesome to the point where I keep my Media Player running in the background. However, the only information I can gather about it is the screenshot I have attached, so it would be nice if a Japanese reader could take a look at it.

Sadly, the image quality here is about as good as it gets, but please tell me if there's anything you can make off it. Thanks.

Here are the videos. The one I'm talking about is the fifth from top in the left column (jam.zip).

If you EVER need to translate for Spanish, I can help. Spanish is my first language. Or my second, I'm not sure. A little off-topic, but when I started speaking, I could speak both English and Spanish. Neat, huh? Anyways, I guess you could say I speak both as a first language, and am VERY fluent in both. Just look at where I live. (Note: Ecuador is a Latin American country. NOT to be confused with Ecuatorial Guinea, in Africa)

I would appreciate it if someone could please translate the following sentence into Japanese:

"Well my friends, I suppose this is goodbye for now! I hope to see you all again soon!"

Thanks in advance!

My linguistic abilities? Hmmm... Well, to be honest, the only languages I'm any good at are English and Bad English. Then there's Slang, Bullshitting, Double-Talk, and Sarcasm - but those are just variations on a theme.

I've tried to learn other languages, but they have proven most difficult to pick up and keep up. I can only remember a few things off of them.

I can do German, but I'll leave that to native speaker Meister.

However, I am a Russian student. Dunno if anybody else, like maybe Viktor, is into that.

Edit: I'm listening to Taty: no vctrechnoy again for the first time since I started taking Russian. Anybody know where I can find lyrics printed in Cyrillic? I't awesome to finally realize I'm hearing words and phrases rahter than syllables.

There's different ways to say that. ONe thing, I don't think there's really a suppose inference in Japanese that I know of"

"minna san. ima jane. sugu mada aimasho:
(Everyone, right now goodbye. Let's meet again soon"

I study Russian. I have no one to practice with though. It would be nice. I'm also interested in learning Spanish.

I'm currently in the process of learning Irish Gaelic. I can't promise much, but I can try to help with translations.
