"Aww I'm sorry, Thauma-san... I didn't know you don't like the water..."

Thaumaturge looked at Qeeko with a rueful smile.

"It's all right. I shouldn't have been splashing."

He extended a hand.

"Friends?"

Qeeko smiled and took his hand with hers.

"Friends."

She then had a very very evil thought and pulling him forward by the hand she held, Qeeko grabbed Thaumaturge's head and shoved him back into the water. By the time Thaumaturge had resurfaced, Qeeko was around 10 feet away. The blue mage paused to call to him.

"I'll race you there! Swimming only! First one that has to use magic to get there buys the other fifty bucks of chocolate! Go!"

And with that Qeeko happily swam away with her little head start.

Thaumaturge choked on the water for a second time, surface, then glared after Qeeko. Her challenge carried back to him from a little difference away; she was clearly a far better swimmer than he (not that that's particularly difficult...). He started to swim, then realised that he was going to lose this either way. He gave an evil grin, the casted a telekinesis spell on Qeeko, dragging her back to his level, then dunking her in turn, before swimming towards the shore.

Qeeko came back up and spat water in his direction, frowning as he swam away.

They were a long way out, and Qeeko was annoyed at somehow falling back like that. Swimming irritably along she came to Thaumaturge's side and bonked him on the head as she swam past.

"So there!" Qeeko she retorted, before rolling her eyes and dunked him again.

Thaumaturge spluttered, then swam as fast as he could after Qeeko. On reaching her, he swam down, then up, rocketing out of the water to pounce on Qeeko from above, dunking her in no uncertain terms. With a parting "MWAHAHAHA!!!", he swam forwards agian.

Qeeko floundered a bit and started feeling very very evil. By the time she caught up to Thaumaturge she was beginning to halt her breating for long periods of time so as to avoid breathing in water in her eagerness for revenge.

She leaped out of the water and dived on Thaumaturge, pushing him deep into the water as she tied and tangled his robes around his ankles and finished with pulling his hood way over his face.

She continued to swim onward with a gleefully evilly grin.

"Glub" Said Thaumaturge as he struggled with his robes "Glub glub."

He concentrated, and magic poured out of him, lighting the water around him with bright orange light, and incinerating his robes. He managed to surface (facing away from everyone, of course), taking a deep breath of air. Then he casted again, creating illusory robes (which of course shadowed his eyes like the others did, although they had no substance). Then he turned towards Qeeko, and casted a slow spell on her, and continued the chase. When he reached her, he evoked a large stone attached to a rope, and attached it to her foot, pulling her under in slow-motion.

Now Qeeko knew Thaumaturge had used magic. In fact with this knowledge the mage cast a Haste spell on herself and then went about untying the rope. Whatever kind of knot Thaumaturge had used it was beginning to annoy her, but QQ was beginning to run out of air. There was no way she's get it untied while it was pulling her down.

Well, she'd won anyway. Qeeko opened a Dimension Door under the water and swam into it, and as the Door closed it burned off the rope in the middle. The stone sank.

Qeeko stepped out of the Dimension Door's other end as it opened up on the beach, and with Qeeko came an outpour of sea water. Qeeko waved a hand at the distance.

"Hiiiiii!"

Thaumaturge glared at Qeeko on the beach, then teleported to the beach, reflecting that at least illusory robes didn't require drying.

"Well, who won then?"
