Well the Scratch releases a massive amount of temporal energy that essentially rewinds the universe to its starting point. From there certain things happen differently. In other words it skews off into a separate time line. Or at least that's the way I see it.

That's pretty much what POS is saying. It's the same universe, with the conditions reset slightly different. Also it was reset without cancer, because John excised the tumour, and Jack was removed from the universe.

Well, it's still gonna have a Jack Noir. Jack Noir is just part of any game. But I've got a feeling that this one isn't going to go Slayer, or at least won't take it upon himself to murder the universe.

Right. But this rebooted universe has its own Jack Noir, independent of the two Jack Noirs in the Alternian universe.
