Welcome aboard Jin-Da. A quick thing I might want to point out, is that it's frowned upon to reply to a series of like five or six topics in a row, thereby generating your name at the "Last posted by" area each time.
Not that you have, but I wanted to catch you before your rookie-ness gets you warned, which is a bad thing. But I see you'll probably fit in really well, so welcome on.

Heh, someone else capable of getting through and understanding Faucalt's Pendulum. May I suggest Robert Anton William's and Robert Shelae's Illuminatus trillogy as another example of paranoia at its finest. I have often called it Faucalt's Pendulum on drugs.

I've been going to this place for at least two years now.
Had no idea it had a forum. But anyways, Hola! Call me Zack. I'm not very interesting, so I won't put anything else. |

Just a question. When I place my cursor anywhere on the text in your post, shiney, why does it act like the entire post is an attached image? It doesn't give me a cursor to highlight with or anything. Just a picture toolbar.

The question is not WHETHER it's an attached image, it clearly is as the slowness of my computer has made abundanly clear what with the loading time. The true question is, WHY it's an attached image.
On a more relavent note: salvete omnes. Welcome to the forums. Try not to break anything if you can't afford it. Thirdly: Wow... TWO other people who read the Earthsea books... we're too few and far between... though this forum seems the kind of place where people who would read the Earthsea saga would congregate... so yeah...

However, I may be able to explain that. You may have noticed that Shiney made fun of several other mods. You may also recall that mods and admins have the ability to edit a forum-goer's post. By making an image of his text he prevented a fellow watchman of this forum to edit his post, and thereby completely destroying the humour in said message. Instead, the mod would have to destroy the complete message and retype it with the edits that he would like to make. Shiney betted on the possibility that the others would be too lazy to do so. -This message has been typed by Melfice, and may or may not be edited by Shiney to preserve his joke.
