Ok, I stopped reading this about the time we switched to the trolls. Is this really necessary? I mean, I appreciate telling the story from multiple viewpoints but it was confusing enough as it was.

By seeing their playthrough, we get a better idea of what an "ideal" playthrough looks like. Their's probably wasn't 100% what it was supposed to be like, but I think knowing how things should go will put how things are going in the main one in perspective.

Besides, it's the troll chapter.
It wouldn't be a troll chapter without trolling the readers, would it? |

Of course. Skaia is one of the Yozis. Probably She Who Lives In Her Name.

Exactly. So what is the point of Sburb? It's not to save your planet. It was apparently to save Skaia, but it turns out Skaia isn't even something all that special or unique, but rather something that just gets copypasted from world to world. So why is the game important, is the question. What is the motivating factor, beyond keeping what few people you can alive?

And to PCD: Portal Spoilers I think the same thing has to happen here. The whole "Save Skaia!" thing is a front used to manipulate players to engage in certain activities. The Sprites, and pretty much everything else, are part of this front. But there's something else guiding the Players, be it Exiles or Precogniscent Players, and they seem to be guiding them towards an entirely different goal. Both of these are manipulating them in some way or another. To what end? I'm guessing it has something to do with the "nature" of the universe, and with the super-powerful demon. What they're "supposed" to do is achieve... one thing or another, and, I think, to ultimately foil said demon. And if not the demon, then to achieve another aim. But that's not the important question. "Why?" is important, but far more important is "Who?". See, this is a game. People die, planets get destroyed, but it's still a game. Set up by someone to achieve a certain purpose. But who set it up? Who designated the purpose, created the "front", arranged everything to guide the players? Who, in other words, is the Game Master? Also, what're the odds that the "Demon" is Lord English? The virus definitely has something to do with the Felt Gang, the green exterior and the numbers indicate that. Quote:
