Oh man this update and the discussion going on in other places are doing crazy things to my brain.
Maaaaan. Quote:
I'd think Page-/Knight+ (They're both warriors who use their element as a weapon; Knights defend others). Also, Witch-/Sylph+ (When asked, Kanaya said that a Sylph was like a witch "But More Magical"). Sollux was a Prophet without being a Seer. I like to think that's because Mage-/Seer+. Mages are actually just self-serving Prophets! I guess. Which leaves Bard-/Maid+? Because... they're... okay I can't bullshit an explanation up.

I could be wrong with the ones I have.
For example, someone else has said Mage/Knight. A Knight wields his power to defend, a Mage would wield his power to destroy. The difference between a meatshield and a blaster. |

This is some interesting insight into it, though I'm getting some creepy Doc Scratch vibes from UU's form of "lying".

Basically, a Mage is able to actively channel raw magical power into attacks whereas a Seer has a more in-depth understanding of how such magical powers work, allowing her to use them to guide and strengthen her team. Also, I just got back from Ohayocon and Homestuck has seriously blown up. There was a small handful of Homestuck cosplayers last year, but this year there was well over a hundred at least. I've got some pictures, but since my computer apparently doesn't have an SD card slot, I won't be able to show any of them off until at least tomorrow.

All right, since my 3DS is overall quite garbage for actual picture taking, I'm going to just go ahead and post somebody else's better ones to illustrate just how stupidly huge this shit has gotten. Apparently most people's rough estimates put the Homestuck crowd at over 200, compared to the dozen or so last year. They ended up moving the panel back an hour to get a larger room, which ended up conflicting perfectly with the Street Fighter IV tournament I had signed up for as it had ended up getting started five hours late because they decided to do Marvel 3 first instead, thinking it would "go faster." It didn't.
And to be perfectly honest, by 10:30pm on Saturday, I was sick to death of Homestuck, so Street Fighter won out. I will, however, go ahead and post one picture I took from the photo shoot which I think distills the very essence of this thread down to a single image.

There really is only one proper reaction to all those cosplayers.

Damn, you got to be REALLY drunk if you come within a few feet of your dream self in an abstractionable location of reality.
