Default Twinkin' Out

I know this is probably a little late, (like 2 years late), but whatever happened to Red Mage's column? The last post there says '04.

I just started reading the column about a month ago, so I don't know what's going on with that. Could somebody tell me what's happening?

Well, real life called to Sosa and he cut it short. I'm not gonna go dig up where it was said, but I'm pretty sure he would like to continue it, but probably isn't.

It is a shame -- they were funny as all hell, but his life and what he wants to do with it comes before continuing his articles.

Who is Sosa and what does he do?

Twinkin' out reminds me of Tweakin', slang for smoking meth. hehehehe

Tydeus will become famous soon enough. Eventually. Maybe.

It really is too bad -- I remember totally loving the Twinkin' Out columns when I first discovered them, only to be crushed with sorrow and misery when I found out, just a few short hours later, that they were of very limited supply.

For shame, Sosa!

Also, who the hell are all these people who post on the main page other than Brian?

Well, one's Sosa, the other's the guy we know as Shiney, and sometimes some other guy posts who ran the server thingy.

As for what "twinkin out" is for, it basically refers to Red Mage's and any DnD/RPG player's methods (sometimes underhanded) of having a very powerful character, usually by equipping powerful weapons or whatnot to a very low leveled character, then gaining levels quickly because of this.

As for the column itself, it did everything except giving useful advice for relationships or life.

Twink has various meanings, it generally means 'Well-equipped' or 'Good gear'.
In MMORPGS, or at least i think this is true, it generally means 'A very well equipped quite low leveled character'
In other terms, like DnD, i can't quite say, never done them myself.

Ah, thanks much guys. It really is too bad though...I miss all those febreeze and lincoln jokes. Do you think he'd come back by popular demand?

As for what he does, well, in one column he mentioned working for McDonald's and in another, he helps Brian in one way or other (can't remember how).

If you can believe it, just reading his column has made me want to try D&D (absolutely no communities in existence where I live though u_u).

I was going to ask Red Mage Sosa this, but maybe you guys could answer this: What's it like to play D&D with a bunch of friends?

An amazing experience that can only be compared to being touched by the divine hand of the ALMIGHTY!!! Seriously, it's really fun. If no one plays in your area then start up a game, you'll love it, you'll friends will love it, and the dark lords you worship while you play will love it
