the people of spike tv should commit honorable seppuku for making the video game awards. I havnt been this disgusted by a video game telovision event since i first saw G4. It was practically a giant commercial for EA and DefJam Vendetta 2. for example the nominees for best driving game were burnout 3, nascar2k5, and nfsu2; all made by Electronic Arts.
Call of Duty:finest hour was given best millitary shooter; CoD:FH was the crappiest fps game i ever played. though the first Cod was the best fps i ever played.
Best RPG was givin to fable; ive heard nothing but bad things about fable.
of all the games nominated for awards i only saw 2 japanese games:
Katamary Damacy[nominee for most addicting game][didnt win]
Metal Gear Solid 3:Snake Eater [nominee for game of the year][didnt win]
If any one eles saw other japanese games that i missed please correct me.
from this im sure that we can conclude that only honorable gaming mags can honestly say what is the best game of the year and that telovision networks cant stop being money grabbing whores for even just a second.

right now i would have lost all respect for Spike TV if it wasnt for MXC and Mcguyver

I heard somewhere that "Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne" was nominated for best RPG. A lot of people where surprised, because's it's not a well-known game.

I could be wrong, though. I couldn't find the thread it was in on my other boards.

Well, I'm not surprised. Because one simple reason. The game is suppose ot be very violent and worthy of its 'M' rating. And notice all the games on Spikes video game thing.... Yup, all were supposeto appeal to the XBOXs 20-25 year old crowd (and all the teenagers who are obsessed with violence and only buy those games).

Anyway, for all of you didn't predict this outcome or are shocked by it, the rest of us have to now all say in unison "Told ya so...".

That guy pretty much sums it up perfectly. Strange how no actual gamers actually liked the gaming awards show...
