Ok first I'm going finish off the skills system.

Most skills will have 5 levels. Level 1 is the default and costs nothing. It costs 1 points to adavance from level 1 to level 2, 3 points to go from 2 to 3, 6 points to go from 3 to 4, and 10 points to go from 4 to 5. That means to completely master a skill you have to spend 20 points on it.

Generic Skills (These can be used by anyone inside the matrix.)

Running:

1) Normal human endurance, 4 minutes, at speeds of 30 to 35 mph.
2) Same as above but increase speed to 40 to 45 mph.
3) Less than human endurance, about 2.5 minutes, 50 to 60 mph.
4) Normal human endurance at speeds of 70 to 85 mph.
5) Normal human endurance at speeds of 90 to 110 mph.

Dodge:

1) Easly dodge most standard human attacks.
2) Dodge any normal human attack and some attacks of enhanced speed.
3) Dodge a single bullet, but with a good chance of getting nicked by it.
4) You can dodge up to 4 bullets, as the number of bullets increases the chances of getting nicked increase
5) Dodge like an agent from the movie's as long as you can see the gun and the bullets are fired from a distance


Wallwalk:

1) Two steps along a wall or a quick run up and flip off.
2) Same as above but increase to 5 steps total.
3) 6 steps along a wall or 3 steps along a ceiling
4) 12 steps along a wall or 5 steps along the ceiling
5) Indefinite distance along a wall or up to 20 steps on a ceiling

Jump:

1) 4 ft vertical jump or a 10 yards horizontal leap, no control of yourself in air.
2) 7 ft vertical jump or a 23 yards horizontal leap, little control while in air.
3) 12 ft vertical jump or a 38 yards horizontal leap, moderate control while in air.
4) 20 ft vertical jump or a 56 yards horizontal leap, able to change just about reverse direction.
5) 35 ft vertical jump or a 82 yards horizontal leap, might as well be flying (ie your falling with a whole lot of style).
(Note: A leap means you had a running start and the control while in air is a measure of acrobatic ablity. That means you can land and jump in a different direction at the higher levels or jump and use walls as spring boards to contnue your jump at the highest two levels, using walls being easiest at the highest level.)

Strength:

1) Above average strength, able to lift about 300 pounds/ punch hard enough to leave a good dent in metal
2) The ability to lift about 450 pounds and shatter thin concrete (You can take the corner of a pillar of with a punch)
3) Strength to lift 700 pounds and punch though 1/16 inch steel
4) Ability to lift 1100 pounds and punch through a solid concrete pillar
5) Lifting most cars is no problem as well as punching through reinforced concrete
(Note: all strength increases apply to kicks as well)

Acceleration(Note: this increases all attack speeds):

1) 1.5 times faster than an average human attack; about 30 mph/12 punches a second
2) 3 times faster than an average human or about 60 mph/22 punches a second
3) 5 times faster than an average human or about 100 mph/40 punches a second
4) 8 times faster than an average human or about 160 mph/64 punches a second
5) 12 times faster than an average human or about 240 mph/96 punches a second

There is no default for the higher level skills. It cost 5 points to get level 1, 15 to go from level 1 to level 2, and 25 points to go from level 2 to level 3. Also you can only choose one of these powers to begin with; later you can level other ones.

Human higher level powers:

Flight:

1) Straight levation up and down, and a some movement in other directions, no more than 2 stories high.
2) Actual Flight, you can change direction well and fly at speeds of about 200 mph.
3) Neo like flight, you can fly just like Neo did when he saved Trinity or during the fight with Smith.

Telekinesis:

1) You can stop a single bullet with considerable effort and move light objects like small guns and move objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
2) You can stop up to 4 bullets, stoping 1 or 2 is easy but difficulty increases with number, coming from one direction and move objects weighing up to 100 pounds.
3) You can stop any number of bullets from one direction with some effort and move, not lift, objects weighing about 250 pounds.

Precognition*:

1) You can read about 5 seconds into the future, a lot like a Jedi.
2) Reading as far as 1.5 minutes into the future is possible with some concentration.
3) Everything up to 20 minutes into the future is accesible, but may change with time, random flashes and dreams may give insight into the farther future.

Healing:

1) Recovering your minor scraps and bruises; sprains can be healed with considerable concentration.
2) Healing things as serious as broken bones or bullet wounds is possible, on your self, and the minor wounds of others.
3) You can heal yourself from the very brink of death, given some time, and heal others from one or two bullet wounds.

Deleting*:

1) You can disrupt and delete the code of small things such as a knife or a gun, if they are not encrypted, with a some effort.
2) Deletion of more complex unencrypted and simple encrypted code is possible.
3) You can delete even autonomous programs, if they are unencrypted and unable to fight back, and slightly less complex programs with encryption.

Program Higher level skills:

Copy*:

1) You can duplicate the code of small objects you touch with some concentration.
2) You can duplicate complex things like guns with some effort, and less complex things with less effort.
3) Duplication of your self onto other programs and people becomes possible, however if whatever your copying onto can resist, meaning awake, this takes a significant amount of time and effort and can be intrupted by the slightest disturbance.

Weight manipulation:

1) You can increase you weight by 75% and decrease it by 25%, more weight means more force and less weight means less effort when moving/jumping.
2) You can vary your weight from 550 to only 15 pounds, the extremes take time to achieve.
3) Your weight can vary from 900 to under 1/2 a pound and the change can be basically instant.

Increased Endurance:

1) All your endurance times are increased by 25%.
2) Endurance times are increased 50% and can be extended slightly beyond in life or death situations.
3) Endurance times are doubled and the limits can be extended but you will require much more time to recover.

Wall Standing:

1) You can actually walk onto a wall and stand completely still, but only for 10 minutes.
2) You can stand one a wall for up to 20 minutes or the ceiling for 5 to 10 minutes depending on your activity.
3) Standing on a wall requires no effort and standing on the ceiling can be maintained for up to 30 minutes.

Etherealism:

1) You can ghost yourself for 25 to 50 seconds, depending on your activity, while ghosted you float slightly above the ground.
2) You can hold your ethereal form for up to 2 minutes and can move up and down slightly
3) Your ethereal form can be held for as long as your focus holds out, standard is about 8 minutes, and you have slightly more control then the first level of flight.

Special Kill Only:
This skill has only one level and it costs 16 points. This skill makes it so you can only be killed by a silver bullet or wooden stake.

Shared Higher level skills:

Reading the Code:
This is a single level skill costing 5 points. It allows you to tell if someone is awakened, still a part of the Matrix, or a program as well basic infromation about your surronding that wouldn't otherwise be apparent. Also, it is a required to access some of the higher level skills.


Programing*:

1) You can construct simple programs while in the Matrix; ie. kinves and one piece opbjects. This skill requires 3 minutes to complete an item.
2) Constructing simple items becomes easier, 1.5 minutes instead of 3 minutes, and complex items such as hand guns can be constructed in 10 minutes but you must know a good deal about the operation of whatever you are trying to construct.
3) You can construct progams that move on there own, simple machines and such, with 10 to 15 minutes of work depending on how complexity. Guns, and things as complex, still take 10 minutes but simple objects can be constructed almost instantly.

(The following skills are require at least the first level in programing.)

Cloaking:

1) You can hide you code from the a Matrix search but can still be seen be people/programs near you.
2) You can become invisible to those around you but only for 3 minutes and only while standing still.
3) Invisiblity lasts for the standard 8 minutes max while standing still and 4 minutes while moving.

Encrypting:
Single level skill allowing you to place special code around objects to prevent tampering. It can also be used to lock doors so that only people that know the encryption/can decrypt can open the door. Costs 10 points.

Backdoor:
Another single level skill costing 15 points. It allows you to construct a key that when placed into a lock will allow you travel to any unsecured door in the Matrix.

*Skills with this next to them require you to have Reading the Code to use them.

Name:Zax Driver" Ziro
Status: awakened
Gender: Male
Age:16
Appearance: Zax is a mix of japanese and african american. His face is oriental (small almond eyes and the what not) with green eyes and black straight back hair. However he has carmel skin and is around 5'7''. He wear special reactive glasses (can't remember the name but I have these glasses basically they darken in brigh light and become lighter in dark areas allowing for instant changes depending on his surroundings). He chooses not to wear the all leather suits and insteads sports a black flack flack vest and black leather pants.
Specialization: Precognition (1), Speed (4), Reading The Code
Equipment: "Hacking Kit" an assortment of teals made to pick locks, hot wire vehicles and get rid of anything impeding his progress from driving (security systems etc.) Dual Mech pistols.

Bio: Zax is the reason teenage insurance rates are so high. While an expert driver he tends to be more brash and reckless than the older folks, swerving at high speeds, and pulling turns without slowing down as much (if at all) as others. He uses his precog abilities when driving to ssee unexpected turns, obstacles and other things. This makes his "reflexes" far superiror to the others. However since he is not as skilled in using his powers in other areas he tends to not go into missions without backup and usually he serves as either driver or to serve as an on site operator when communications with the actual operator is not available.He has a laid back attitude and rarely is seen out of his calm demeanor. Zax was awakened from the matrix long after the battle between man and machines ended.

We get 20 skill points starting out right?

the matrix. Weither these are skeptics or true is not know by anyone. Wiether he is an ally or not
is as well known as him.

Ok I forgot to put it in the powers post but humans can get program powers, and programs can get human powers, just by paying double the normal point cost. The shared higher level skills can be used by both sides without penalty.

Now I said I was going to start this tonight but a few other things came up. I hope no one minds if I push it to late afternoon today, seeing as it's nearly 3:00 am. That way the people have time to finish their bios and the people that just expressed interest can join up. That being said if I start the thing and you havent finished a character yet don't worry. Just finish your character then post in the chapter thread I'll catch you up, I'm usually very good at doing that.

Another clarification on the skills. The acceleration skill cancles out the dodge skill. So if two people are fighting and those skills are equal it's like two normal people fighting. Just thought I'd make that clear. However, the precog ability allows you to predict the moves of your oppenent and move accordingly. The problem is their attack my change as you move so someone with an acceleration of 4 or 5 is still going to be a challenge to dodge. Finally, cloaking disrupts the precog ability. If someone cloaks themselves, even level one, you can't read their future actions, the ones the do while cloaked, reliably.

Now I'm afraid I'm going to have to take over the operator postion simply to make my life easy. Sorry Fub but it would be really hard to tell you what you need to know in a timely manner without revealing to much.

Sidenote: Now that I've finished the stat system I so want to play this. I can't though because I know far to much about the plot line, some of which doesn't exsit yet, to not do something that would make this far to easy. I get to play the bad guys though so I'll have to settle for that. Which reminds me I got to get to making some bad guys, they will use the same system as you guys.

I would love to join up, but can only really post a couple of times a day. Is this enough, or should I sit this RP out?

Even once a day should be enough, perhasp even once every 2 days or so depending on how fast everyone else moves. I'm fairly certain that once everyday is plenty.
