Default Pool of Radiance

Anyone that likes PoR?

I am proud to say that I have completed the game! And that there are only two quests I haven't completed. One because I'm too lazy, the other was for being nice to some orcs.

The real question is: Which Pool of Radiance are you talking about. The original Poolr of Radiance that started off the Gold Box series, and is one of the great all-time classic CRPGs? Or the new Pool of Radiance that was almost universally panned and came with a bug capable to taking Windows down permanently?

I've played them both - the second one after said bug was fixed and the game was patched into a better state all-around - and though I've only done a little of the second I've played right through the first a couple times.

I thought the newer PoR was...well...let's just say I wished I hadn't bothered buying it full-priced.
To be blunt, after a few unsuccessful attempts to trade/pawn it off on someone else I ended up shattering the cd with a rock. Slowly.

I had the old one for my commodore 64. Those were some good times, let me tell you. As for the new one, I haven't heard anything good about it, at all. So I don't think I'll be getting it any time soon.

By the way, how does one shatter something slowly?
