Yes, but I'm not doing that. It just randomly doesn't appear, then sometimes does.

What he means is, you probably accidentally clicked the box that states 'Show my signature' on the new post screen. Don't use the quickpost, click 'Go Advanced' and take a look at it. You'll see the box.
