Favorite character in all gaming
I wanna see how wide and far spaced these ideas can come from. Who is your all time favorite character in all of gaming? Why is this character so great to you? My all time favortie would have to be Terra, Born different, just to be the same and unite two races. She is powerful but in control and yet very naive. She chooses to save the world only after learning what is worth saving.

My favorite would be The Nameless One, from Planescape: Torment. Although, that's due mostly to the game's writers (Chris Avellone really kicked ass in designing this game). TNO's an amnesiac immortal with an awesome backstory. Anyone whose beaten the game to attest to that.

Nes link! He's Pixelascious (i think i heard that from ReBoot) You can't really determine anything from his personality except that he is a kid, he has a wooden sword bestowed upon him by a wiseman and he saves hyrule once again... Mario is my 2nd, i find him to be hillarious... "How-a 'bout some pasta!"

Hmmm... Guybrush Threepwood's cool and all, but they kinda screwed him up in the third game (although not nearly as badly as they screwed up LeChuck.) I'd say that this would be a toss-up between April Ryan (really well-written, realistic character) and Raziel (simply the ultimate badass, especially in Soul Reaver 2. "And if I tell Moebius he's worshipping a giant squid, do you think his faith will falter?")

Heihachi Mishima (Tekken). That hair just plan rules. Plus he's the strongest guy in the universe.

You guys are all forgetting Q'Bert... I mean come on... it just doesn't get cooler that Q'Bert.
But on a serious note, I'd have to say that my favorite video game character, (at least right now), would have to be Alucard from Castelvania: Symphony of the Night. He's just such a bad-ass. And he's half-immortal, and he's not afraid to dress in tights and carry around a whip... |

Prepare to call me a poser.
I have, do, and alway's will enjoy Sephiroth far more than any other video game character *ever*.
With the *possible* exception of Q*BERT. Q*BERT pwnz j00 (that's "Q*BERT owns you" for those who cannot read in leet-speak.) |

I have to do a Top10 on this one:
1 - Kirby 2 - QBert 3 - Samus Aran 4 - The Metroid (from Super Metroid) 5 - Toad (from Mario 2 on NES) 6 - Luigi 7 - Yoshi 8 - Zidane Tribal (FFIX) 9 - Cloud Strife (FFVII) 10 - General Heideggar (FFVII, dunno if the spelling is right) Nope, Sephiroth didn't make it. He's got a cool sword, but I don't really like him. |
